I was looking for a new mascara and saw this positively recommended/reviewed on multiple TikToks. This is my honest review of the Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara, from someone who has tried it all. The price is VERY good compared to others on the market. The applicator brush is pretty simple, straight (no curves), with brush bristles. The bristles really grab onto a lot of the product so you just have to be careful that you aren't applying too much and that there isn't product on it that has already dried/clumped and is stuck in the bristles. I recommend cleaning the applicator every couple days to avoid clumpy lashes. The mascara itself is a dark strong pigment and is a thicker gel like consistency. Application is easy but as I stated, this can make your lashes clumpy if you're not careful about cleaning the applicator between used. I find that it looks better with one application, and if you do multiple applications the lashes clump and the product looks too thick. It stays on well throughout the day, but I do occasionally see flakes of mascara under my eyes by the end of the day. My lashes look darker, longer, and thicker... but maybe a bit TOO thick when it clumps. Overall, I'm not in love with this mascara, but I don't totally hate it either. If you are looking for a super inexpensive mascara and are very careful about application, this isn't a bad purchase. But I likely won't be repurchasing it. Hope this helps! ... show more

I am a mature woman with fair hair, pale skin and almost white eyelashes. I bought two of the expensive mascaras that were marketed for older women. They just didn’t do the job. They smeared and it took four or five coats to even see my eyelashes. After those colossal and expensive failures, I was searching for mascara again, and I found this brand. I was intrigued. They are very inexpensive, and I could easily afford it if it was another mistake. My grandfather was from Luxembourg, so it was yet another reason to try it! This is a total winner for me. Two or three coats does it. It stays on and when it’s time to remove it, it takes one remoistened eye makeup remover pad for each eye. Sometimes I use an extra pad to make sure it’s all gone, but one usually does it. I have sensitive eyes and a lot of allergies. This does not bother my eyes. It’s very comfortable. It goes on easily and comes off easily. I highly recommend this brand. The eyeliner looks wonderful too. It doesn’t tug or pull on the eyelids as some do. I totally love this. This is by far one of the best mascaras to make you lashes look longer. Only thing for me is I take good care of my makeup and never leave it open and it got clumpy after about 8 weeks or so of using it. And I don’t wear makeup that often. I love this mascara!! I only put on 2 coats and it last all day and night (forgot to wash it off). It did not smudge or clump! Goes on easily and stays!! Easy to remove with moist cloth or cotton ball. Definitely gonna buy several!!!
