So far, it's worked perfectly. Pretty fast. It can fill up it's basket in about 45 minutes or so, haven't perfectly timed it. I would recommend to read the manual. If water sits in the machine for more than a day, the water will taste like plastic, so make sure to drain all remaining water, rinse it out, and refill with fresh water. As the manual states, the first batch of ice may be deformed, but after that, it makes perfect ice. I specifically chose this ice maker over other similar ones because of its completely clear lid, which it's perfectly clear for you to easily see what the ice level is at. All the plastic is pretty durable. Noise level is perfectly fine. It's just slightly louder than a very quiet modern refrigerator.

For the price, you can’t beat this little workhorse. Out of the box and a quick set up cycle, this machine was making ice within 15 minutes! Great features and easy to operate. The two sizes of ice cubes is a plus. It is a smart machine and stops when the basket is full or the tank is low on water. Once you fix either, it goes right back to work. It also is of a low enough wattage to run on a portable power supply so you can have ice on the road. I should have bought one of these a long time ago. The bullet shaped cubes come out just a little on the soft side but they firm up quickly once you transfer them to a freezer. I actually like these better than rock hard ice cubes. The little scoops that comes with it is so small that it is practically useless, but that doesn’t matter. This is a great machine.

8 large ice cubes every 8 minutes is what you can get if you use very cold refrigerated water, else 8 large cubes will take 10 to 12 minutes with room temperature water. The ice cube maker runs flawlessly on its first 2 days of use. Each day I ran it for 4 hours to make 5 lbs of ice. The ice capacity is not that large, so i moved the ice from the bucket to the freezer so it didnt melt. The ice maker is louder than expected, or shall I say the blower fan to cool the compressor is loud. The icemaker itself is quiet. All the mechanisms work flawlessly and the ice maker is easy to clean after each use. I'm hoping this device last for a long time because I've have had devices like this before that usually break within 1 to 2 years, but this device seems to be made very well and I'm hoping for the best.

This ice maker was one of the cheaper ones I could find. Our ice dispenser in our refrigerator quit working. Even though it’s cheaper, doesn’t mean it doesn’t work as well as others. It works great! I like that you can change it from bigger to smaller ice because I eat ice all the time. It makes ice pretty fast too. I would buy again if this one ever stops working. I’ve already had it a few months. Well worth the buy!

We wanted a replacement for one of those large countertop GE units that is known to fail. Ours did. This one is simple, makes ice nice. If I had a negative it would be that in the summer (we live in GA) you'd better scoop the ice out as soon as it drops as the basket won't keep the ice from melting if your indoor temps are mid 70's up. Now that temps have moderated that isn't so much of a problem. 5 stars based on price and value. It works!

Works great! Makes ice within 10 mins or so, and doesn’t mold as long as you keep it dried after each use. I love the self-clean feature as well. The ice sizes come in small or large. Since the ice machine wasn’t designed to keep the ice frozen, it will start to melt fairly quickly, so I’d recommend selecting the larger ice size. How clear the ice is depends on your water quality. The product looks great and is compact in size so it fits in the counter next to our rice cooker! There are no complaints about the noise level, it really isn’t even a thought or issue.

Having 5 members in our household, including 3 kids who play sports year-round, we go through a lot of ice. We just threw away a name brand countertop ice machine that bit the dust after about 2 years. We have been using this one for about a month and a half now and are very pleased with it. I learned from my last one that cleaning these things regularly is extremely important to making them last. I love that this one has a cleaning button right on the front. Press the button and it goes through a cleaning cycle for about 5 minutes or so. Easy. You will also need to run some vinegar or other cleaner through it occasionally as well as wash out the inside and removable parts with soap and water. The way it's designed makes it much easier to clean than my old one. You will have to do all this with any ice maker. It produces a lot of ice in a very short time. The ice is crunchy and not super hard. Between this maker and the one built into our refrigerator, we have plenty of ice now. The design is perfect. Lower the door and scoop out what you need. As the ice in the hopper melts it simply is recycled and makes more ice. Who knows how long it will last, but so far, I have been impressed with the quality. I think as long as I keep it cleaned it will last for a long time. At this price and for the quality, I feel like this is a great deal.

It works, sort of. We are keeping it as a kind of desperation back up. The ice maker in our fridge is being unreliable. This machine does make ice. They are tiny cubes. It makes them fairly quickly. But there is NO cooling. There is NO cooling in the machine. So the cubes are melting immediately. So overall, it does make ice. It does what it says it will do.
