    • "Foot Switch" is Awful
What a disappointment. I ordered this specifically because it is pictured with a switch in the lamp itself. It showed up and it has this awful, flimsy foot switch. The design with the switch is incredibly poorly designed. On the cord it is closer to the outlet than the lamp, to the switch winds up being somewhere where you can't access it. The switch itself is cheap plastic and i'm afraid i'd break it by stepping on it. If Cotoss is cutting corners by removing the switch, I am afraid to think what else they're skinping on. Shame on you, Cotoss. Change the photos so the consumer can be informed and then no one buys this junk. ... show more

We bought this lamp to go in the front room of our house. The lamp looks as pictured, and the shade itself is pretty both lit and unlit. That said, I expected the shade to be a little bigger and the stand to be a little more substantial. The base actually looks kind of cheap if you see it up close, but where we have the lamp placed you don't really see the base, so not such a biggie. Overall, the lamp works well for our purposes, but if you are looking for a fancy-ish lamp for a more formal setting, this may not be up to task. Also, side note--the shade had some oily residue on it when we took it out of the box. Not sure what that was about, but it mostly came off with a paper towel and it doesn't seem to affect anything. ... show more

The lamp shade is beautiful and I am happy with that. What annoys me is that the description and the picture both show the switch is at the top of the pole but the lamp they sent has the switch on the floor that you have to step on. I hate that. I specifically ordered the switch at the top. Now I can’t hide the cord like I want to so it’s just a big blob on the floor. I didn’t realize what I got until I tore the whole package apart. This is beautiful! The colors and workmanship in the Cotoss Mission style torcher are absolutely gorgeous. It looks lovely whether turned on or off. The leading lines look very well done. The glass has weight. If you love colored glass and want something clean and artful, not the usual antique busy designs of other Victorian tiffany style lamps, the Cotoss Mission style will make you very happy. There are several lovely styles and color variations to chose from. (My glass shade has pale cream, yellow, grey/blue violet, olive green/ brown and gorgeous teal accents). ... show more

I bought this lamp for my husband. It is beautiful. We put it together. We stood it up. We put a brand new bulb in it. It does not work. Put a different brand new bulb in and it does not work. Took the bulb out and put it in a different lamp and both of those bulbs work. What is going on? I paid to have light in our living room and this lamp does not work. Amazon would not allow chat to open and I called twice and talked with customer service and both times they hung up on me. I had an electrician look at this lamp and the bulb base does not have a connection on the positive side and it will not work because it was never placed inside the base for the light. I am not please that I had to GO BUY a new base and have it installed, just to have a light that I purchased brand new, to finally work!! Quality control is not good. ... show more
