Worked perfectly for a 1997 Ford Ranger with 2.4L single cab, manual transmission. Before installing the MAF sensor, the truck would buck and jerk on the road, and needed throttle inputs at idle to stay running. It slowly got worse, until it would barely run, and even with steady throttle input, it was going crazy with high and super low revs. The code reader said it was a problem with the MAF sensor readings, so we took the risk and changed it. And thankfully, with this new MAF sensor installed, it was back to running perfectly. One benefit of changing out this MAF sensor is that this is the whole aluminum housing plus the sensor, so you don't have to try and get the sensor part off of the housing like you would with the part from the local parts stores. It is also half of the cost of the local parts stores while also including the housing, which theirs does not include. The part that was replaced was the original part, and visually, this part looked identical in quality.

I have a 96 ranger. Would start and immediately die. I replaced the oem mass airflow sensor with this 1. She started up and runs fine now. Part works just fine.

It does fit but it caused my truck to start stalling. Not sure if there were other contributing factors or not but it didn’t start happening till I swapped it.
