The stand is sturdy and absolutely gorgeous and would, under ordinary circumstances, receive a full five stars. Unfortunately, some problems and inconveniences in assembly lowered that ranking. As in other reviews, not all holes are correctly drilled and some not at all. Parts of the assembly were frustrating and definitely time consuming even with use of an impact drill (which is recommended). At least the assembly instructions were relatively clear relieving some of the issues. Definitely a two person assembly. However, once complete the unit is stunning and a terrific addition to our living room. It is displayed with a 65" tv that it accommodates perfectly. ... show more

I keep my thermostat at 68, but get a little chilly when I'm sitting and crafting, so I told my husband I wanted this. I absolutely love it! I can set the temperature, fan & a timer on the heat output. I can also adjust the flame & brightness of the 'fire'. It makes the room so cozy, without the smoke & mess of a regular fireplace! It heat output is great! When our furnace went out, it kept the room very comfortable on its own. At 63 yrs old, I assembled it myself, it was that easy! The media could not be loaded. Put together by myself. Only thing I needed help with was carrying the box up to my 3rd floor apartment as the box is close to 125lbs. Took me about 4 hours total. Instructions were clear. Love love love.

    • AWFUL ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS!

The direction are horrible! Took all day for 2 people to work together for completion. And I’ve purchased do-it-yourself products previously. This was the worse experience I’ve ever had. We both had to turn the pages upside down and different angles to figure out positions for assembly. Manufacturers need to identify “Front “, “Back”, “Top”, “Left” “Right “, and “bottom” on pieces for better understanding and ease of assembly process. Finished product is nice and fireplace is awesome! Love the fact that you have options for fire with heat and temperature PLUS the option to have fire without heat for visual effects. It is quite and has a nicely designed remote control for fireplace settings. I DO NOT RECOMMEND buying this due to the frustrations experienced due to VERY POOR guidance from the assembly instructions papers.
