I installed the 12,000 BTU WiFi heat pump 110 volt mini split and LOVE IT. 5 fan speeds plus the turbo settings with moving up n down louvers as well as side to side louvers or you can set the louvers to a fixed location. It is the quietest A/C unit I've ever owned. The air movement is a gentle breeze, I have mine installed in the livingroom with adjacent dining n kitchen open floorplan. I also used a support bracket system to keep it off the ground for better performance and airflow plus out of the way lawn mowing. I installed an air conditioned disconnect switch which is code most everywhere sn concealed the line set n wires for a more professional looking finish all of which I bought at Amazon with budget friendly prices I used an existing 110 volt outdoor outlet for my power source, power for the inside wall unit is supplied through the numbered supplied wiring harness, being numbered the average DIY person cannot hook it up wrong. I cut n flared my copper lines shorter to no have a bulk coil of excess copper tubing coiled up n shortened the wiring harness also. I wanted to make sure that I didn't have air in the lines even though bothe the inside and outside units were pre charged so I paid an HVAC Tech to draw down the lines before starting it. If you have air in your lines it can very well shorten your compressor life n void warranty. All in all it was an easy installation, 2 guys 4 hours fir everything that I listed being done. The average DIY person can do this, you'll need a hole saw n drill shaft longer than usual n the instructions said 2 3/4" but I found going by the supplied line set tube through the wall 2 3/8" hole saw was a tighter n better sealing fit. ... show more

Pleased with the Costway!

I purchased this unit in June 2026 and installed with no issues. This is the sixth mini split that I have installed but my first Costway brand. I currently use Senville, Traiden and now Costway. I wanted this model due to it having the pan and compressor heaters. So far I have been impressed with its features and heating and cooling capabilities. Easy installation, unit looks good and feels sturdy, Cools great

Installing this was a very interesting and fulfilling project. Only one small glitch was that the template that came with the unit for wall placement of the indoor unit has the hole at the wrong place. Not a big deal because I didn't blindly follow the template. Otherwise, the installation was really smooth and the unit works great. I have been using it for over a month now and I am totally happy with it. It cools great. Very quiet

So far great... Just installed, waiting for the winter to test the heating function. Many capabilities, haven't tried them all. It would be great if the had a phone line/number to get answers. They only have e-mail with 48 hour response time. Praying that it runs great through the coming years

This is my third Mini Split install, all three different brands. This Mini Split is okay, but probably the lowest out of the three I own. Built quality is a bit less than I expected. Some of the little things make it below expectations with other brands. 1. The place where you hook up the electrical looks more like the quality of the battery compartment of a child's toy. Very flimsy. I even almost cracked the plastic tightening down the screws. Then one of the nuts behind the connector fell out, and had to find it in the grass. Doesn't instill much confidence. 2. The flare nut connections are very cheap. You have to be very careful tighten them or you will either strip them, cross thread them, or blow out the flare. 3. The smart phone app is difficult to set up. Very confusing setup compared to other mini splits that you just basically press a button, pair the unit, and done. This mini split has a series of complicate steps to set up, and is very generic, saying first try this, then if this doesn't work, try this, then if this doesn't work, try this. It almost seems like the instruction are written for all possible Costway models, not just for this specific model. And to try each and every possible iteration of instructions for every Costway model, until you finally stubble upon the set of instructions for your specific model. 4. Unit that mounts on the wall is very flimsy, compared to other mini splits. Plastic is paper thin, not very stout. Unit is okay for the price, and once installed it works good, so I'll keep it. But if had to do it over again, I'd go with a different brand. On the plus side, the unit does cool well, and it very quite (both inside and out). ... show more

Easy to Install and controls the temp just great

My husband installed this in an afternoon by himself. It's easy to do after watching some YT videos on it. We can control it via the app or remote. The app wasn't always following our instructions at first. Like it would be on, but we didn't tell it to, or it set a range. That could have been us not knowing how to use it? But that seems to have corrected itself or my husband figured it out? The unit cools the room in a hurry, too and quietly. There are many adjustable modes on the remote, so you can dial in whatever you want. I love good split units. They save time and energy, which means they save money. We tried the heater for a minute and it got hot quickly. It's only been summer here, so we'll give the heater a good test in a few months, especially if we get a hard freeze again. ... show more
