This was my first mini split install the only thing that I was not impressed with is the bracket system how it mounts on the wall is very flimsy and it doesn’t latch on very well so if anyone were to bump it, it’ll fall off the wall and probably ruptured the copper lines, but for the price, I still have to give it five stars because it works remarkably well. The thermometer is not very accurate when compared to a thermometer I have mounted nearby, but again that’s not a huge issue. Also, the line set that it included was too short for where I was installing it so I had to order a set online. I followed the instructions to the T and had no issues, there was one minor complication when charging the system I needed to order a special adapter to adapt to my manifold so that I could pull a vacuum on the system before releasing the charge. ... show more

It wasnt as easy to install as online vids made but that has nothing to do with the unit. Once installed it rans really well. Makes the room cold very fast. I live in FL and its 90 and above often. Fan can be adjusted to move up and down left to right as well. Fan itself can be adjusted on strength. I havent been able to figure out a way to have the fan turn off when the temperature drops to the desired temperature. Remote works. My room isnt insulated very well either. The media could not be loaded. This summer was waaaay too hot here. I decided I needed some AC in my workshop for next year and didn't want it to cost a fortune of require a pro to install. These mini splits are just awesome for things like that and if you are handy you can install them yourself. They don't require a fresh air vent and only a SMALL hole in the wall to connect to the heat pump unit. They will fit into small spaces and don't take up any floor space. The remote that comes with it has everything you'd need. This looks well built and has everything you'd need in the box - it should last years. Fall weather just started here so it's too late this year, but its going to great next summer! It also heats, so you'll be at the perfect temp all year. If you get a lot of snow or you don't have good protection from it, I would buy a stand for the part that goes outside to keep it off the ground. ... show more

It had a few issues Product is not what on a picture, on indoor unit, the wing is only partially closing the opening and there is a big gap left even when you are not using the unit. Also this mini split does not come with 16 ft pipes as described in product details. When I approached seller was told that its mistake in description and they offer first only $50 refund that even not cover to buy new 16 ft pipes. Also they responded that gap is a normal, that how it’s manufactured. Final offer was $86 refund. I do now know yet how the unit works, because still waiting new pipes to come. I am disappointed. I’m really happy with my Costway split AC unit. It runs very quietly, so it doesn’t disturb my sleep or daily activities. I used to have window AC and it was very loud. It cools the room quickly while using less energy, and we can save even more because when we’re not in the room, we can just turn it off. Besides, it also save the room because it is install on the top side of the wall. So, it doesn’t occupy any space at all.
