Packed well enough some dirt came out of the pot but remained inside the box so that I could add it back into the vase included. I had a 4" by 6" vase ready with a drain hole at the bottom and a drain dish to set on ready for transplanting, so I immediately transplanted the Money Tree. It should be doing fine after the transplant. I guess I'll know in about a week if it takes to the new soil and the bonsai rocks at the bottom to help drainage and spread out across the top to help with the aesthetics of the plant. The included I Love You with a Heart on the pot doesn't have a water drainage hole so do not over water or you'll cause root rot, unless you replant into a vase that does incorporate a drainage hole on the bottom and a drainage plate. I give it a 4 for a bad delivery. I love my tiny tree. It’s really cute. It’s smaller than I expected. It cane in a cute little beige pot that should fit in with most decor. The delivery was an issue (UPS). It wasn’t where it should have been so I thought it wasn’t delivered. I live in an apt and my instructions for delivery are to deliver to my door or the building’s secure package room that all delivery drivers have access to (if for any reason they do not, deliver to my door). They left it in the common hallway, not mine btw. The box was opened on the top and bottom, it was pretty damaged. Aside from dirt being knocked out of it, the plant was ok. It was wrapped inside very well with a stick to keep it from being smashed down. You could tell from the condition of the box that it had been knocked around. The other plants (3 small plants in 1 box) were perfect. Because so much care was taken in the packaging I may purchase another. I hope the delivery situation was a one off. ... show more

Don't order in the cold weather. Mine was partially frozen/wilted. It has 3 twisted stems. I managed to save 1!.it IS pretty. Water from the bottom is safer

My plant arrived very well packaged and vibrantly healthy. This has been my consistent experience with Costa Farms. They include a detailed care guide and have a social media presence if questions arise. The planters make for nice presentation if you’re gifting the plant but it’s clearly not intended as long term housing. The money tree was the promised height if not a bit larger, the planter was very tiny and had no drainage and the root ball within was wrapped in cellophane. I had a pot ready to transplant it right away. The roots were visibly healthy and well established.
