The plant arrived undamaged, with beautiful foliage. I love the basket that comes with it. I waited awhile to change the soil to give it time to adjust. The palm was root bound so I had to change the pot and use the basket for another plant. The plant is still thriving and looks amazing in its spot.

My palm arrived safe and sound today. The packaging was intact, the carrier left it standing upright (thanks to clearly marked arrows reading “this side up”), and tucked neatly inside was one fantastic palm. I mean, just look at her! ProTip: Use the paper packaging on the inside to protect your floors from dirt as you’ll need to remove the protective plastic wrap they put over the top of the exposed dirt in the pot and inevitably, doing that shakes loose a little dirt (see pics). Beautiful plant and arrived with no broken leaves. The planter to sit it in is not sturdy though and was hard to get the plant to sit up straight.

    • Cute. Expensive. Here is a better alternative.
You might have been attracted to this plant because of how cute it is. Have you seen the basket? But it's expensive, and I don't think it's worth it. First, the basket is cheap so my plant sits lopsided. Some paint is scratched off, not a big deal though. The plant reached to my hip (I'm 5'6). It's a nice plant, but some leaves were dying on the ends, again not a big deal. This person in the reviews saying she had gnats got me freakin, but I bought it anyway. Gnats? I noticed some flies were in my apartment that weren't here previously...but nothing major. I have 3 new friends. So here's my alternative. (After I was frustrated with myself once I noticed what I should have done post-purchase after doing other shopping). Get yourself to Home Depot. If you're trying to support Costa Farms, even better. They sell plants there too. A lot cheaper and the plants are a lot bigger. Around $20. You can pick out the best, freshest, cutest plant for you. Step two? Get a basket from Amazon, TJ Maxx, or Marshalls. They sell plenty between 15-30 bucks. This was you can pick the exact color and material you want. I’ve had this plant for 2 months. It arrived beautiful and slowly has died due to a mealy bug infestation. It wasn’t cheap, I am so disappointed.

    • Beautiful plant, super healthy 2 months in!
I ordered two 3 foot majesty palms and they arrived quickly. Unfortunately the shipping company did not respect the right side up. I was not prepared for the extra dirt to fall out when opening the box, however I found that the plant looked just fine albeit a little dirty. I am learning the right amount of light and water to give these plants, and they've done very well with my amateur green thumb. After 2 months, I recently replanted because one of the seagrass baskets was leaking from a plastic tear so I thought I would move them out of the growing pot. I found that the roots were extremely healthy, but jam packed in. I would recommend to replant this a few weeks after arriving to avoid more stress on the plant.
