Alocasia Silver Dragon features striped, silver foliage. The Alocasia Silver Dragon is great for tabletops. It does well in spaces that have medium, indirect light. Place Alocasia Silver Dragon in a spot that receives medium light (3-5 hours of sunlight). Water your plant about once a week with approximately 1 cup and be sure all excess water drains away. Adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the Alocasia Silver Dragon sit in water or overly soggy soil.The height is approximately 12-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The Alocasia Silver Dragon in a white, 6-inch composite material planter. To avoid water spillage, this container does not have holes.The Alocasia Silver Dragon is a fast grower. Exact growth rate depends on the care provided and its environment. Give it a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general-purpose fertilizer that is formulated for potted plants. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best use. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. This was my second time to order a Monstera Cobra from Costa Farms. The first time was several months ago, from Lowe's. That one was really in sad shape and I'm still not sure it will ever come back. I really wanted to have this plant as part of my collection ever since I saw it on Costa's website, so I took another chance and am glad I did! It arrived today in great condition, a bit lopsided but no mushy leaves like last time. I only had to wipe off the leaves with a damp cloth and set it near my window. I now have 6 plants from costa farms and they all came extremely well packaged and beautiful. Please keep in mind your areas weather conditions prior to ordering I got my thai early february during the last few weeks of below freezing weather and even with the heat package I did get a little damage on a new leaf which is completely my fault I could’ve waited 2 more weeks before ordering but I was too excited. ... show more

I've bought many Costa Farms plants over the years but this year is the 1st time I've bought on Amazon, NEVER AGAIN. I'm not delusional I don't expect a plant to come in excellent condition when shipped. I'm a plant whisperer so I don't mind nursing a traumatized green friend when they arrive, I haven't lost one until now. I've bought 3 plants through Amazon from Costa Farms the 1st 2 were palms and still MONTHS later have mealy bugs, I've had them in quarantine for about 6 months and because they're palms it's a freaking nightmare getting rid of them they literally get in the top of the trunks deep down and you have to repeat insecticide baths and chopping all their hair off over and over again. If you're lucky you may get rid of them on the 4th or 5th round providing the tree doesn't just give up and die. I'm invested in healing those two so I'm trying to get to the finish line. But THIS time I'm not chalking it up to a fluke, Costa Farms and this distributor have a SERIOUS problem and obviously they could care less. I ordered this polka dot begonia because our local nursery ran out and I don't know why it didn't dawn on me that I might have the same issue as the palms but honestly I've been dealing with trying to heal them for soooooo long that it's just become the norm. 1st. Just on first blush when I opened the box I knew I was in trouble, the leaves were eaten through by bugs and necrosis. They were bent in half on every single leaf, which if you know this plant you also know that their leaves are the most important part. But I said hey I'll trim them up and get rid of the dead parts and see if I can get her to back to healthy. So a little water and into quarantine she went. 2. I gave her a week to calm down and rehydrate but she's not looking any better in her stalks. 3. With no improvement I knew we have a bigger problem (STILL not putting two and two together like an idiot) so I just took her to the kitchen sink to give her a little drink of a magic elixir I use for my medical grow. It requires her soil to be soaked all the way through though 1st. As I started watering her with a nice PH'd water with a hint of aloe concoction my newbie plants get before their 1st Dirty Girl Tea treatment allllll these fungus gnats just swarmed out if her soil As I mentioned I have a medical grow but i also have thousands of dollars in other houseplants and can't jeopardize their health so in the trash this plant went. UPDATED REVEIW: Beware of the root rot on these guys. A few days after my initial review I started to notice some dropping so came back to the reviews on this post. Although I didn’t see any others with a monstera Thai C. A lot of reviews say they had root rot. After depotting this guy, I too noticed the dreaded root rot… I decided to repot, without disturbing the root system in just orchids bark mix. The roots were pretty well established before the root rot so most of the soil was a fine coco blend. After about a week still more dropping so I took it out again. The root rot has resolved itself, however about 70-80% of the initial root ball is completely gone. Thankfully there are still a few strong roots. I washed the roots, trimmed the remaining dead roots off and repotted into a much smaller pot with a homemade chunky aroid mix. Fingers crossed I don’t loose any leaves and it lives! ******* It was packaged and shipped well. They added a heat pack to the shipment due to it being late November which was very nice. It’s honestly a beautiful Thai constellation monstera however, I do wish it was slightly more variegated but for the $30 price I’m happy with it. I’m only knocking 1 star due to the newest leaf which is the first fenestrated leaf looks like it was damaged during shipping. ... show more

The plant was delivered by UPS and the box was smashed on one side. When I opened it, it looked like the box had been shipped on its side or upside-down, as the plant was mostly out of the pot and there was soil everywhere! I had to repot it the best I could, so time will tell how it holds up! This was a gift for a friend who is currently in transitional care, so I'm glad I had it delivered to me -- she wouldn't have known what to do with it in that condition, and I would have been embarrassed about sending it! On the plus side, the plant is beautiful and healthy looking (so far!), the outer decorative pot is lovely, and I love the self-watering wick system -- a little difficult getting the inner pot out of the decorative pot though. ... show more

The plant looks healthy but the size is very small. They advertise the plant being 16" tall, but actually, the plant is 9" and the pot is 7". So, be aware. Also, the soil medium it came with has loads of fungus gnats. I do not want to disturb the plant for at least a week, but had to, due to the pest issue. ... show more
