  • My new fav appliance!
I don't know why it took me so long to buy this - I absolutely love it! So quick and easy to use and everything comes out delicious. So far, I've cooked string beans, steak, chicken, sausages, grilled veggies, and fries in the air fryer function - success every time. Improvement to make it even more amazing would be: deeper drip pan (although what I cooked so far are not too juicy, the drip pan is not very deep so I'm always afraid my food will fill the drip pan and go down to the bottom of the appliance), quieter cooking, pre-heat time (Understand that the appliance needs time to preheat itself, but for some items, I want to turn the food in the middle of cooking, when this happens - it requires additional preheat time, which is a bit annoying). Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and I use it almost every day. ... show more

  • First Use Cooking Steaks, Very Little Smell, No Smoke
I was looking for an indoor grill that would come close to eliminating smoke and , above all, odor when I am cooking burgers or steak in the house. Received it yesterday, decided to give it test by cooking a pair of 1 1/2 inch NY strips. No smell, no smoke. However, the cook times in the recipe book for a NY strip are wrong. Had to cook it almost 5 minutes longer (after increasing heat from medium to MAX (510 degrees)) to get to medium rare. Ultimately, this is really no big deal as it's just like cooking anything to your personal taste. Problem is although you can change cooking time on the fly, it appears you cannot change the temperature, so I had to turn it off and restart it using MAX temp. Going to have to experiment to find the right temps and times to cook meat to perfection. Cleaning is easy, it really didn't get that dirty (cooked asparagus in oil too). However, there is still the smell of meat grease between the lid and the heating element, and I am still trying to figure out how to clean this area without taking it apart. Also, after I received it, I ran the grill without food for about 2-3 hours at MAX temp to burn off the chemical smell of the new machine. This worked great. ... show more

  • Good so far
I haven't used this oven much even though I have had it for three months. My only real complaint is that the door is on very strong hinges and if you don't open it all the way it snaps shut again with a bang. I also don't like the lack of shelf space in the mid region which is taken up by the rotation apparatus. So, shelves are either high or low. The air fry pans that came with it are so far wonderful, easy to clean and the drip pan on the bottom is a good idea to help cleaning, too. Another small complaint is that it needs to heat up first before putting the food in. I always forget and put the food in right away, and then have to stand there till the oven 'heats' so I can open the door and close it before the process begins. ... show more

  • Love It! Great for a Single Person
Air frying has turned out to be perfect for a guy living by himself. I can make small meals easily and quickly without a lot of mess. Just a quick word of clarification: air frying isn't frying; it's cooking in a tiny air convection oven. I've been using it for about two months and have zero complaints and lots of praise. Why I chose this model: - Price. One of the cheaper versions I found and didn't want to spend a lot of money on a cooking method I haven't tried. - Square(ish) cooking basket. Able to fit more food on the bottom compared to a round basket (2 hamburger patties, etc.). - Perforated metal instead of wire mesh. The perforated metal on this air fryer is very easy to clean, not much different than cleaning a normal non-stick pot or pan. I own a copper wire mesh crisper tray and NEVER use it because it's a real pain to clean, especially after baking hamburger patties. Do not buy an air fryer with a wire mesh basket - go with perforated metal. - Simple controls. Set temperature and time and press go. The cooking basket is approximately 7" x 7" x 3". Temperature range is 100-400 °F in 10 degree increments. Timer range is 1 - 60 minutes in 1 minute increments. The exhaust fan is a little noisy when cooking but not too bad. It is loud enough to hear from another room. I read another review mentioning a possible heat issue from the exhaust on the back of the fryer and that worried me so I measured the exhaust output temperature using an infrared sensor. The highest reading I got was 185°F on the surface of the exhaust without pointing directly into the exhaust port. The manual says to keep the exhaust at least five inches away from any surface so, to be safe, I pull mine out and turn it sideways on the counter when using it - particularly when cooking for longer periods of time. So far I've made a LOT of hot dogs, hamburger patties, sliced Spam, baked potatoes, bacon, biscuits, rolls, frozen and fresh French fries, Tator Tots, and single serve frozen pizzas. It all comes out great except for the frozen French fries. I don't think frozen French fries ever come out good unless deep fried in oil - it’s the oil that makes the taste. Fresh cut French fries from the air fryer turned out great. Hot dogs are way too easy to make with this thing so I've eaten more hot dogs in the past two months than I have in the past ten years. If you get home hungry and want something quick, throw two buns in the air fryer for a minute or two at 390°F to crisp them up while you slice or perforate a couple of dogs. After the buns are warm, throw in the hot dogs at 390°F for 6 minutes while you put your condiments on the buns. Instant meal. Use a paper towel to wipe out the basket and bottom of the fryer. Sliced Spam was a nice surprise. I slice up a can of Spam with a cheese slicer and throw a layer of slices on the bottom of the basket and cook at 360°F for 7 minutes and they're perfect. Use parchment sheet liners for raw dough such as biscuits. I bought a set of 100 that are squarish and perfect for this air fryer https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X3FWFQ6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 While my menu has been limited so far, there are thousands of recipes and videos online on air frying which I'll eventually use to expand my culinary horizons. Just a hint for watching air fryer videos, if it’s more than 4-5 minutes, its mostly uninformative talking. The best are 2-3 minutes long. Food manufacturers are finally getting on the air fryer bandwagon and are posting air frying instructions for their products. Pillsbury and Screamin’ Sicilian Pizza both have specific air frying instructions on their web sites. I've also found books specific to air frying at my local library. A general starting guideline for frozen foods: Reduce either time by 25% or temperature by 25° (not both). With the thought of trying more food ideas, I bought an air fryer accessory set on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XHR28Z9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . The pan was too large for this air fryer and some pieces starting rusting after the first wash. I had to go with the Cosori-specific set https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LCW5S2H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which was more expensive. I haven't tried any of the Cosori accessories yet other than to make sure they fit. Bottom line is I would recommend this product. At this cost point, I wouldn't mind if it only lasted a couple of years before needing replacement (but I haven't seen any sign of excessive wear and tear yet). ... show more

  • Performance is the best!
This is our third one. The first one we just plain wore out!! The second and third ones we are still using and if we wear one of these out we will only buy this same one again! Lots of room for lots of food to cook. Heat’s pizza just like it has come straight from pizza oven.

  • Love it!
Air fried food is so good and this is a fab one. Pre set buttons are on point with the perfect time and temps. Super easy to clean. Perfect size as it’s large enough to cook 3 large chicken breast but not take over the whole counter. Love it!!
