I am using this fire pit on my pool deck in Florida. It's wonderful for coffee early in the morning or wine at night. It gives off plenty of heat but I don't need that so much in Florida. It is mostly for the ambiance and I do think this fire pit is beautiful. I changed out the lava rock for blue glass to match my pool tile and chair upholstery. The table is low but works well for me and it allows a better view of the flames. I have a nice wood ceiling above but it is 14 feet up. I checked online and found you should have at least 8 feet above flames for clearance for this BTU. The set-up was super easy. Packaging was well done. It did come in three separate boxes, delivered at different times within 2 days. Seller replied to my question promptly. This is a beautiful looking fire pit and we enjoy it, but be warned…the dang thing doesn’t auto light! It clicks and clicks, wasting tons of gas, but nothing happens. There is another review explaining why this happens, but I’m not handy! Concealing the gas hose is difficult. It's unsightly and awkward. Cutting a hole in the patio rug would help. BUT IT'S WORTH IT. I love the low profile of the firepit. It feels more like a campfire. I'm looking forward to upcoming cooler nights on my patio.
