Not quite the same Costco kitchen step stool I remember my mother having in our kitchen back in the early 1960's, being slightly scaled down in size, and not quite as ridged. I love my chair!! I wish I could have found it in a pale yellow, but I love it none the less. Like others have stated it is a bit of a challenge to put together. Parts could have been labeled better. I had difficulty because things were not labeled well I kept putting things together backwards. I'd get to the end of each step of the process only to find one of the first pieces was on upside down, or backwards. Once I finished it I was glad I don't have to put this together again. I use it quite a bit and I get a lot of compliments. Another thing I would have liked is if the seat were sturdier so it could be used as another step. Wanted a nice step stool the reach the high cupboards so I got this stool.. not to good as a stepstool for me but the grandkids love to use it to reach the candy dish... and it reminds me of grandma's house

I was expecting what was around when I was a kid. This chair is nice and sturdy but the steps are not attached in a great way and it is much smaller than I was expecting. great for a kid not so much for me.

Easy to assemble. Not as strong as I remember, but I weighed about 30 lbs back then. It’s strong enough for 175 lb man to stand on it. I love it and am glad I bought it.
