    • Durable and great product
This pet door really helps keep the cold weather out on a windy day. My two dogs a rottweiler and a cairn terrier both love having the freedom to go in or out. I like the feature that I can put in the door slides keeping them in the house or outside.

    • Absolutely a blessing to my dog!
My dog now gets in and out when she feels like it. She is a much happier dog and I love it! The only worry is that just once, when it stormed and the wind blew from the right direction , the flap blew open and the rain soaked the floor.

I returned it b/c I didn't need it: you DO need it if you're installing the pet door in a raised panel door. I did not: my door is in the indoor wall, and goes out to my vinyl siding. The way it fits, there is no air coming in from around the frame--only through the plastic flap. When it's cold outside, I'll use the pet door's panel that came with what I bought; it easily slips in and out, blocking out most of the cold. I remove it only to give my dogs access to the dog pen. ... show more

I absolutely love this door. Its very good to keep cold wind out. Very energy efficient. Unfortunately my little pup doe NOT like this door because of the double flaps. She was fine with a single flap door, but this one is double scary for her and a bit hard for her to open. She will use it, but it takes a LOT and LOT of encouragement and she does not want to use it on her own. I think it would be great for large or even medium sized dogs. But small dogs may be intimidated. I bought medium size to make sure she had plenty of room. She weighs about 15 pounds. Maybe the small would have been better. I will just keep working with her and hope she adapts. It's been a couple of months since we installed. ... show more

    • ** A MUST BUY TO INSTALL YOUR HIGH QUALITY DOGGIE DOOR EFFICIENTLY !! ** (Weather-Proofing)
All I needed from this kit was the drill bit for the holes to drill thru the door to attach both sides of the doggie door. (**HINT: When drilling with this bit, swivel the bit and make the hole extra large on both sides so that you have plenty of movement in order to attach all 8 bolts (4 on each side) without having to attach 5 or 6 of them and then have to take them all off just to drill the other 2 or 3 holes bigger to make them line up - like I had to. And in addition to the drill bit all I needed was the clear silicone caulk which I used on both the outside and the inside of the doors just to make sure they were both air and water-proof tight. I actually used the double sided smaller tape and the bottom of my front door - in between the lower door seal so when the front door was shut - you could not see any sunlight coming thru - also saving me on my energy bills!! ... show more

    • Not Enough to go Around
The amount of foam you get isn't enought to go all the way around the dog door perimeter, and there is no removing the foam once it's been placed as it's so sticky the foam just rips apart in chunks. Great otherwise, just plan ahead.
