My husband used this to paint a peak on the outside of our house. He already had an extension ladder (too tall) and a step ladder (too short). This ladder was PERFECT! I even went outside with him to hold the ladder steady (not necessary), and I was impressed with the different heights he could adjust it to. I don't know how they get 18 feet on this ladder. It actually extends to 14ft 9 inches. I think the 18ft must be what a person can reach by standing on the highest step. But that's not an 18ft ladder. I can reach 7ft by standing on the ground. So, I guess by that measure the ground would be a 7ft ladder. Very misleading advertising..!! ... show more
