Short version: It works, it's quiet and it weights a ton, comes with a nice timer but something is just wrong with the listing. We dug out our pond last year as it's been filling up over the years with trees, leaves and junk. Now, it's looking good and I would like to add an aeration system to keep the algae down and the water a bit healthier. I installed a fountain pump in the spring and that did help. This unit arrives in a brown box and states that it is a 5.76CFM but the listing states 8.2. It's very well packed and comes with rubber feet, a metal connector valve shut off and teflon tape. It's smaller than I though - a good thing. I was thinking "compressor size" but it's about 8 x 14. The feet are super easy to install. The metal valve assembly took a few tries to get on straight. You have to adjust the second nut to get the whole thing to sit right, by default it wanted to point up. One end has a plastic valve, and the other end is a tube that I'm not sure what it does. The plastic bit that helps silences the air intake was 2 seconds to screw in. I notice the capacitor is held on by a thin metal bracket and two zip ties. I plugged it in and it started right away. I was looking for an on/off switch and I could not find one. I tested the noise level and it's reads at about 62-68 but a few feet away it's hard to hear as more than just background noise. The rubber feet work very well and keep it stable without jumping around. Then I saw the white box and realized a timer comes with it. It's a nice one with a ton of settings. The batteries were already installed and the unit was turned on. That was much better than I expected. There is this odd thing that's attached to the unit that lights up. I have no idea what it is and went to the instructions. English is decent but the images are tiny. It's a electro-magnetic something and installs on the other metal pipe across from the air outlet and then a small plastic screw on cover closes off the tube. No idea what that part does or even how it's supposed to work. The black center section arrived with a number of scratches on it. this does not effect anything but odd. Overall: I can't properly test this as it came with no hoses or diffusers ( as stated ) but the unit seems well made, it's quiet and the timer is great. The instructions are hard to see details. I ran it for about 20 minutes in my workshop at about 60 degrees. We'll put it to the full test when I get the other parts.

This is a very god pond aeration system. Quality and finish of the compressor are both very good. Powerful and works great. Not too noisy. Helps the water and fish in there for sure. There are some confusions. The listing says this is 8.2 CFM, but the tag outside the box says 5.7 CFM. Brand outside the box does not match this listing either. Still works fine so no big deal. Good system.
