36F/DDD, US14 After first getting 4X, too big, sized down. The panel is measured for fully closed back so for a bit of stretch, go smaller to tighten for desired effect. This pic is not even tightened all the way to give the hourglass shape yet. Will have to see how long the plastic boning lasts. Smooth feel, ok support but will be used on top of a long white dress shirt, as an extra over a form for dress and possibly spooky season. You need to lie on the bed to get the front closed, it's easier that way, and then have a partner tighten the top half and bottom half separate. Will update if it keeps the shape. ... show more

My current measurements are 38-31-41. I ordered the XL corset, which says it's for 30-31 inch waist. It turns out, that's the minimum circumference of the corset when the back edges are fully touching, laced as tight as it goes. Meaning you can't go any *smaller* than that measurement. However, I also own a very similar corset in small (from back in the days when I was smaller and it fit properly), and even that doesn't reduce my waist at all. With several inches between the panels in the back and laced as tightly as I'm willing to wear, I'm still at about 30.5 inches in the small corset too. So either that means I'm not the type of person who is going to get a waist reduction out of corsets, or this style of corset just isn't good at waist reduction. In any case, take the minimum circumference into account *in addition* to whether or not you're wearing this as an undergarment or an overgarment. If you're wearing it over several layers of clothing, you need to take the width of that extra clothing into account. And then also take into account how much space you want between the back edges, under the laces. I'm using this as a structured undergarment rather than a fashion overgarment. I'm wearing a light camisole under the corset to protect my skin from it and vice versa, and then the corset, and then the rest of my outfit on top of the corset. The structure it provides gives a nice clean line to my silhouette, and it protects my waist from the elastic in the skirts and shirt, so it's performing exactly the function it did throughout history. Given that the XL is exactly my size when laced as tightly as it goes, it's perfectly comfortable. In fact, the outfit is more comfortable with the corset than without it. Yes, the corset is restrictive. I breathe a little differently and can't bend fully at the waist. I don't find it any more *uncomfortable* than a properly-fitting bra. Please don't assume that corsets are supposed to hurt! If your corset is making you uncomfortable or putting you in pain, don't wear it. It's the wrong size or shape for you. Unless you're doing it on purpose to sacrifice for your art, in the same vein as wearing stiletto heels or whatever. :) If you're looking for significant waist reduction, you may want to consider a proper Victorian corset made for the task, preferably by hand and for your specific measurements. Barring that, this is an affordable option that's attractive, relatively well-built, and true to the size given in the chart in their product photos. ... show more

I actually love it! I was nervous to get a small because I’m usually a s/m but you can adjust and it stretches well. Good quality. It’s comfortable too, the only down side is if you have a smaller chest the top part flares out a little, but most corsets I’ve had do that and this one seems to fit better then the other ones. This was the first corset top I bought. I usually buy the ones that are just around the waist and not the breast area. Unfortunately, this one was a little disappointing. The fit was fine based on the chart but the breast area of the chart was squishing and gave my breasts a “dented” look. I’m not sure if I should go up a few sizes or if that’s just the way it looks. The model in the picture looked like it had the same problem and they are not rounded. I tried a bra with it but it still seemed to have that problem. ... show more

I am obsessed with this corset. After reading the reviews I was left a little uncertain, but in the end said “f” it and decided I could just return it if it didn’t work out. I purchased for a Marie Antoinette-meets-90s grunge photo shoot and it met all of my expectations. If you bought the correct size, prepare to have help from at least one, maybe two other people, getting it on. The backpacking can be confusing at first. It’s designed so that the ribbon doesn’t fall out so it cinches and ties at the center rather than from the top of bottom (so NOT like shoelaces). I would say, however, that the ribbon could be a bit shorter. Even if you need to loosen it up to fit better as I did, I still had a lot of ribbon leftover in the bow. This didn’t bother me though and gave it a vibe. Once you have the lacing cinched and tied correctly, you can then rely on the hooks on the front of the corset. Due to the vertical ribbing, the center hooks can be a challenge. Ultimately this is a GOOD thing. Again, I just have help getting that middle hook clasped. I’m 5’ 6 1/2”, about 123 lbs. and wear about a 26” waist +\- 1”, depending on the fit. I ordered the corset in XS and it was perfectly breathtaking (pun intended). ... show more
