I was hesitant about buying this after I saw all the comments about looking orange. I have bought sooo many tanners. Vita Librada (chk sp) and other top of the line stuff. Even the cheaper drugstore brands. Some of the mousse ones were hard to apply but diggone it I learned to put that $$#+ on!!😀 I was determined to get a tan!! So I ordered this after seeing it over and over on Pinterest. So I took the plunge, what's one more tanner right? Guess what? It works. I love the color! I am latina. Everybody in my family considers me light. My dad is dark and my mom is super white latina with green eyes. So I came out olive skinned but not a golden olive skin. More of a light olive. My arms will tan but my legs will burn. I have never really gotten tan before because I tend to burn instead of getting dark. But this Dark Tones gave me a nice tan. I used a tanning mit and put it on. A little goes a long way because the lotion stays on your mitt where you can rub in like real lotion. Unlike the Mousse that just smears all over. It does not go on like a self tanner. It goes on like a lotion. It took me a full 8 hrs to see a tan. But that's okay because it looks natural. Also I put a moisturizing lotion around my elbows, ankles on top of hands and on top of feet and knees. So then I just used this tanner all over even the areas that I put the mousturizing lotion and the top of feet and ankles ext., looked even and tanned without staining. The smell is amazing. It smells like tangerines and oranges. Most self tanners say once it dries you can put your clothes and go about your business but its never true. The self tanning smell stinks so bad that you can't. But this one you can. Wait to dry, then you can put your clothes on. It will smell like self tanner but it takes 8 hrs for you to smell that way. I finally found something I am happy with. Who would have thought. P.S. if you are olive toned it might be a good idea to use the dark tone because the lighter one may make you orange. The dark tone is not black. It turns a golden color like if you lightly baked in the sun. It has a tad of brown in it mixed with gold. So like my chest is very light and it made it tanned with some light golden color which gives the appearance that you layed in thr sun and got a tad red. Hard to explain. It just looks like a real tan. Love it! Now with some blonde highlights added to my carmel hughlighted hair, I will be killin it. 😀 P.S.S. So far no build up either as I added more 2 days later. 1 MONTH UPDATE: It's been almost One Month after using. Okay I do exfoliate very well. I have to say when this tanner begins to wear off on neck area, it is bad. It's splotchy and looks horrible. I even tried applying lotion before using the tanner, in hopes that would help some how. But no 😝 it looked splotchy and horrible. But on the rest of my body it does fine as it wears off. So what I do now is use a different self tanner only on my neck. And no splotchiness as my tan wears off. UPDATE: I noticed that it did not have a bad fading effect on my neck as long as I exfoliate well. I used sparingly on neck and it fades naturally.

I like the warm color this give without looking fake. It lasts for days and does not transfer to sheets if applied at night. Also, this is the only product I have tried that works on the tops of my feet.

This is my favorite! I haven’t tried too many but this is the best of those I have tried! Perfect color for me as an olive skin person, BUT as everyone else is white in winter you do look somewhat orange. ALWAYS use a tanning mitten. This spreads it well, I do my feet, hands, and face after doing my leg, arms, neck. That way there is some on the glove, but you don’t put straight globs onto your skin. Bending your fingers and just go over the top on the pattern your skin gets when it tans, looks most natural.

Ok I try to be as fair as I can because I want people to know! I normally have an olive color skin and I like my skins tan year around so I always look for ways in during winter to give me the tan and glow! The pictures in this was so promising so I gave it a try. 1st try I became so orange and that friend was shocked and started making fun of me! Second try I thought ok I will build up the tan gradually and won’t be orange anymore! My skin turned so dry that almost felt like a foreign object is on it. Kinda sealed my skin that even my regular moisturizer would not penetrate! Thirst day my sling cracked up so bad and now although it was kinda dark color which was not even natural and pretty, it was dull, cracked and literally looked like a skin desease!!!! I was covering my legs, my arms looked like patchy cause at this point I’m peaking from dryness. Took a week after daily exfoliation and using so much oils overnight to get my skin back! Please do not buy this. Not only it doesn’t work and it doesn’t look pretty But also makes your skins dry and damaged! I call it skin disease!

The darkness of the tan has lessened over the years I’ve been using this, but it is still my favorite self-tanner. I enjoy both the dark tones and the anti-aging for a natural, deeper tan. I wish it tanned as dark as it used to, but applying a couple days in a row achieves the same natural glow. My favorite part is the citrusy smell when you apply and if you sweat later in the day or wear for a full 24 hours you don’t get that stinky fake tan smell. Makes my skin so soft, but can be drying for some (my sister said it dried her out, but she rarely moisturizes). I always exfoliate before applying and moisturize daily so I’ve never had a streaky, flaky, or patchy uneven tan when using this product - and I’ve used it for at least 5 years. Moisturizing between applications helps uneven fade. I took a star off because the level of tan being less than it was in previous years, requiring more applications to achieve the deep tan.

Products does tan make sure your use gloves to put it on with, nice thick moisturizing lotion, weird citrus chemical scent that’s why I gave it 3 stars buildable tan tho. Would try it again

I put the lotion on with gloves. 12 hours later my legs are super tan. Then I noticed random spots on my arms that were dark. Word of advice, careful when applying, make sure not to get it where you don't want it to stain on the skin. On the clothes, it won't stain. I put the lotion on my toes as well. Super bad idea :) next day instead of a tan it looked like I stepped in to a mud puddle and my feet were dirty. I mean the lotion does the job very well for doing what it promised. But make sure to spread it evenly especially where the skin folds. The tan lasted 4 weeks, and that was me trying to scrub it off and it was not coming off in the areas that I didn't want it :) . Overall good product, just be careful with application.

Very effective! We saw this on Pinterest and gave it a try and it’s now the ONLY sunless tanner we will use. We chose this over the other sunless lotions, sprays & mousses through experience of uneven dark tones, spotting, stickiness, sweated off, bled on clothes, lasting effects, reaction to our very hot and dry weather (Southern NM), did not work well with perfumes or other lotions or shaving and strong off-putting smell. These include any Sally Beauty products, all the Ulta products, & local professional organic spray tans. This product was available with Prime and that’s the only reason I bought it for a quick shop before our vacation. I’m so happy that I did! It’s buildable (we use it everyday), hardly any smell, quick drying (literally just 3 minutes), face safe (and doesn’t clog pores), very athletic/active proof with no transferring to clothing or gym equipment, soft to touch with no stickiness, and looks very natural tanned tones from the Caribbean (not orange or just a matte brown). This product also worked well with makeup, setting sprays, lotions, oils and shaving! We are EXTREMELY light skinned girls! We have almost purple looking colored skin, you can see our veins through our fair skin! So it was difficult to find something that was truly effective for everyday use and would not show any sort of imperfect applications because on our skin it would surely show! I love JUST NUTRITIVE! It made me an instant customer! Use their oil Just Nutritive Serum!! Soooo soft!!
