I ordered the footprint with its corresponding tent from the same manufacturer. The tent is well made and well worth the money. The footprint is the opposite. Makes more sense to buy a generic tarp at half or a third of the cost. There are four elastic bands on the corners. That's the entire customization. You place the four corner poles over the elastic bands. That's it. Even more ridiculous, there are four center poles for which there are no elastic bands. The bands stretch (so that's not very useful) and the resulting lay of the footprint does nothing to reduce water from collecting under the tent (which leaves it sitting in water when it rains). It's as if some jealous company employees made a bet to see if they could get suckers to overspend for a useless product in order to unravel whatever good-will came from a rival department's better products. It reminds of senior architects designing a gorgeous building while some junior idiots mis-design a disastrous parking lot. People love the building but stay away because of the parking. In Core's case, the company devoted tremendous effort into designing the intricacies of an excellent tent, while some idiot's entire task was to design a rectangle and somehow messed it up. ... show more
