I needed a fairly easy to set up smaller tent for a bicycling trip 2 of us go on every year. Our previous tent finally started to leak to the point it wasn't salvageable. This one appealed to me because we are able to fully stand up in it while getting in our bicycling gear for the day. Pros: -We could stand up fully in the tent to get ready, even a 6' 2" person. -It fit our sleeping pads, sleeping bags, and a few bags of gear without a problem. -The air vent at the floor actually provided a nice breeze through the tent. -It stood up to 20+ mph winds when other tents were blowing over... after we properly secured the ran fly and guy lines. -I was able to set it up myself alone, until I got to the rain fly. I needed a little help with that, but I imagine if I were taller I may have been able to do that myself. -The tent is very easy to fit back into the tent bag, even when everything is all wet, and you're packing up in a hurry. And the long handles on the tent bag make it easy to throw over a shoulder and carry. Cons: -It will NOT stand up to any wind without the rain fly and guy lines properly staked. It was blowing over in 6 mph winds. I enjoy camping in a tent with the rain fly off when I'm mostly certain it will be a clear night. And my kids love backyard camping occasionally and stargazing while in their tent. This is not the tent for that. -Could not remove the rainfly to let the built up heat out of the tent without risking it being blown over. -It seems to have a slightly smaller footprint than my last 4 person tent. -The door is awful. -The side pockets could be slightly larger. Overall, it meets our needs for our yearly couple nights bicycling trip. We have a larger family tent for actual camping trips that I greatly prefer. I wouldn't want to camp in this tent for longer than a couple nights, mostly because of the necessity of the rain fly at all times, but for an easy up and down and the convenience of being able to stand up in it, it's fine. ... show more

As a tall family, we are so sick of short tents! A tall man can stand 100% upright in the corners, not to mention the center that’s even higher. The floor is rugged. Nice. There is a good size vent near the floor. I love it! The door is wide and ample to carry our gear in and out. The rainfly is pretty small and since the tent is wonderfully tall the fly is a little challenge to set up. Okay. The less loved aspect is set up! Hard for even two of us. I can’t imagine how it will go solo. 🫤 An odd note here, is that the main poles are shiny black and exposed so they got very hot. They were burning my hands. I suggest gloves. Really. You have to fold them into three sections and handle them to put them in the bag. That was an unexpected negative. I want to end on a positive note because I really love this tent. We haven’t tried it in rain or pure sun and I have yet to try set up alone. But overall for us, the room, square feet, doesn’t stop at floor level. It’s the only tent I found with this attribute. Fits 3 people comfortably with bags, can fit 4; but I bought it for 2. At age 69 I no longer want to crawl out of my standard 2 person dome tent. At 5’11” I can stand in it, large door is easy to exit. Appears to be well made. Setup is 2 steps rather than one for a standard dome tent: standard shock poles crisscross to make the dome, then 4 separate & thicker shock cords fit in each end of the dome shock cord poles to make the high walls. After a practice setup in my yard I’ll be able to assemble it in approx 10 minutes on its inaugural camping trip later this month. It fits nicely in accompanying travel bag. Loved the space inside with great headroom. It survived a night of rain and we stayed dry. The zippered screened in portion could do with a way to secure it to the ground where you zippered it to enter or exit. We had to step on the flaps to hold it in place when we zipped or unzipped it. It would be nice if it could be a little taller/wider to fit a camp chair in that space and then you could sit there without the mosquitos attacking you. Set up and break down was easy. Only used it once in Yosemite National Park during the summer. Worked really well for my wife and I. Tent sets up in about 10 minutes and instructions are easy. We wanted a tent we could stand up in and it worked out perfectly (I am 5feet 11inches tall). Tent had great air flow when wanted and little to no air flow when wanted as well. Like I said it was summer so there was no rain or inclement weather to test it in. Overall we were very happy with this purchase and hopefully that continues as we use this tent more. P.S. I would also purchase better tent pegs along with this tent. Stock pegs are not anything special. ... show more

    • A good soild tent at an affordable price

I recently purchased the tent and used it for 2 weeks in upstate New York. The tent was easy to set up and held up to some heavy rain and wind during Thunderstorms. It's important to properly stake the tent, especially the rainfly. The supplied stakes with the tent are not good, and should be replaced with more beefy ones. Caution, if you want the zippers to last you must use 2 hands when opening and closing the zippers on the door. This really is a good tent for the money and I expect it will last me 8-10 years. ... show more

Easy to put together thought it does take two people. Lots of space within the tent. I am 5'6" and was able to stand up in the tent.
