The media could not be loaded. We purchased this tent for our very first camping trip. We are a family of 5 so we wanted to make sure we had enough room. This tent was spacious and comfortable for us the entire trip. Before going camping I set up the tent in my front yard as many suggest just so that I could learn how to set it up and to make sure nothing was missing. We had some trouble setting it up because I didn't understand the instructions...that the metal ring key thingy was supposed to go into the bottom of the pole. Once we figured that out, it was smooth sailing. The tent takes about 15 minutes to set up with two people, and after I had done it once it was easy. I waterproofed the tent with scotchgard outdoor waterproofing spray which is suggested to do by veteran campers to make sure the tent is waterproof. On our camping trip, setup was a breeze, and we were able to fit two queen air mattresses and two twin air mattresses and six people. This did take up much of the floor space in the tent, though. The weather was clear so we slept with all the windows open and the rain fly off and it was very comfortable and breezy. Night two, however, it rained, so we had to close the windows and put on the rainfly. Fortunately, the ground vents provided adequate ventilation so we were comfortable and no rain leaked in. It wasn't raining incredibly hard and we were under a lot of tree cover, so I still don't know for sure how rainproof the tent would be in a hard downpour, but nonetheless, it performed great in the weather we had. The tent fits nicely in the bag, even though we aren't able to pack it perfectly so that's a nice bonus. Being able to stand up inside of it makes it feel like a nice cabin rather than a tent. Overall, it seems to be a great tent and we look forward to more camping trips with it. ... show more

We upgraded from a 10x10 tent and are NOT looking back. This has gone on a dozen campouts already. It's a good quality, easy to put up, and gets down to a good size for easy portability. Absolutely worth the cost. We fit a queen sized air mattress in it, and can still easily get around both sides, with plenty of room by the door (one on each end, so you have options) to get dressed while standing up completely. My wife is 5'11" and I'm 6'1", so having a tent we can stand fully upright in is absolutely wonderful. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. After you were soaked in an other extra large tent with kids and had to pack under heavy rain in the middle of the night in the mountains and had to drive home in those conditions, you will be very careful picking a tent for your family with younger kids and slight chances of rain. This one came 30 minutes before pouring rain and thunder. We set it up quickly and had an awesome chance to test it. It is awesome and worth every penny. I got 14x10 blue Grizzly tarp to place under it, even though the floor here is very durable. But just to keep it clean and to let longer. That tarp is about 13.8x9.8 which is perfectly what’s needed for a tent. This tent is truly weatherproofed and especially rain proofed. With all the windows and doors rolled down to let air in, rainfly protects the whole tent not letting even a drop in. Tent stays absolutely dry inside, but make sure all the stakes are in and all the cords are placed correctly otherwise water will be collecting on the top. Water won’t get in, but collected water gets heavy and that’s just to prevent the roof from bending down. So make sure everything is installed correctly. I love to be inside listening to the rain and at the same time staying completely dry. This tent is very roomy. You can fit four queen size mattresses, but gear will have to go to the awning outside the door. There are two of them. It still will be covered and dry, sitting on the grass (or ground), but I prefer to have maximum three queen sizes and all my gear inside, including little table and all the chairs and backpacks. Shoes can still go to the awning. Divider is also a nice idea. You can have two separate rooms. I was worried about being too dark inside the tent even during the day, but I was wrong. With full rain fly on, during heavy rain it’s still get enough light, so you can easily read, ply board games and even do diamond painting inside. Great tent and can serve perfectly well to save family camping trip even during heavy torrential tent. Your family will still have a great camping experience, listening to the rain and enjoying time together in the tent. ... show more

Its very spacious and my husband who is 6' 4" can stand up inside which is very important for us. It has kept us warm on cold mountain nights and has great ventilation for during the day.
