The lamp was installed before the protective wrap was removed from the shades. Had we seen this before installing, we would have returned it. It is beautiful except for the unsightly seam! Trying to resolve issue with Amazon and lamps plus. Hoping just the shades can be replaced and we don't have to uninstall. I would expect this from a cheaper chandelier but not a $500 one! ... show more

    • Better if it's was more of aged brass than orange/gold
The fixture has a warm gold color when it's on. It's very beautiful. The fixture is more orange/gold when is off. I have a dark open beam ceiling which made the color even more of orange color. To have the right color when the light is on, maybe the fixture color has to be a few degrees darker.

Waited a long time for this chandelier to go on sale. When it did, I snapped it up. Very pleased with my purchase. It changed the whole look of my dining room for the better. Had an electrician install on a dimmer switch so I can change the ambiance as needed. Very classy.
