So this is my first ukulele, but I've played guitar for 13 years so I wasn't going into this totally blind. I ordered the Granite Gray because every picture I've seen of it LOOKED like the gray was mostly just highlighting the figure, and that the guitar looked mostly brownish/natural. Opening the box I was HUGELY disappointed to find out that the thing is basically black. I picked this guitar for the flamed body, and the super dark body just mostly washes it out. If they would have advertised it well, I would have gotten the blue and been much happier with my choice. The finish itself isn't amazing. It's pretty uneven and there's even parts of the fingerboard (which is mostly very beautiful) that the finish is sort of spilling over on. As far as playing goes, the higher notes on the neck don't ring out which is pretty unacceptable. Even a cheap full-sized guitar wouldn't usually have this problem fresh from the factory, it usually comes with time and lack of servicing. Overall it's nice to have a small and mobile instrument, But I kinda wish I went for a pricier model or a different company with better quality control, and who doesn't lie in their product pictures. ... show more

I was looking for a unique concert ukulele and this one definitely was the one I wanted! Beautiful sounds, more frets, many more opportunities to get lost somewhere playing my precious ukulele! Great instrument!

The color of the granite looks basically brown, which is what I wanted. When it arrived, it looked almost like a brown-black. It was so dark! Unlike anything in the photos. Ugly
