  • Satisfied - Except for Battery
Good little tiller. Took a chance on it, as its a bit pricey. Worked effectively on hard packed dry soil. Had to let it sit to dig down first, and then it tore up the hard dry soil pretty good from then on. Found it worked best moving it sideways (sometimes at a slight angle to let the splines dig in), and also pulling back towards you vs pushing. Easily tilled more moist soil. Would have given five stars, except the battery was horrible - only lasting 10 minutes or so, but it also charged really quick - took about 20 minutes. Had to purchase a spare 6Ah battery that was also pricey ($50), killing any value for this tiller. ... show more

  • A little pricey for what it is
If you have no rocks or clay it’s very easy otherwise it bounces but does do a good job

  • Great cultivator!!! A joy to have!
I wanted something that would ease the chore of chopping weeds with a hoe and loosen the soil. Our soil here has a lot of clay in it, so I worried that this small cultivator would have trouble dealing with that in the bigger part of my garden. Now, to be fair, this is a brand new garden spot and we did use our big tiller to chop it up fairly well and to work fertilizer in, but after planting and having a couple of really hard rains, the soil had packed back down, and here came the weeds. Well, this cultivator made short work of any and all weeds and loosened the soil beautifully. I am completely satisfied and really impressed with how wonderful it works. I did buy an extra battery just in case, but managed to get the area pictured weeded and chopped up to my satisfaction on just one battery, about 30 minutes. It is very easy to maneuver and handle, a big plus if you're suffering from old body betrayal like me ( ie. a bad back and arthritic hands ). It will also be perfect for turning my raised beds over in Spring and Fall. It's easy to store and clean and worth every penny. I didn't think it was that expensive to begin with really. I also cannot believe I have not gotten one of these little marvels until now. Fabulous little critter, highly recommend 🥰 ... show more

  • Not bad for the money but not for long work sessions.
I used this to till under a 30x25 foot (9x7.5 meter) piece of ground that had never been broken. Pros; Power. It will dig in and it doesn't immediately bog when it hits a root. It'll fight a little bit to do the work. Quiet. It's not silent, but it's not much louder than a cordless drill, so I could use it when I might worry for waking neighbors. Light enough to work with. Using it means moving it around and it's a good weight/balance to make that less torturous. It'd dig better if it weighed more, but who wants to drag a Chrysler back and forth? Cons; Battery life is iffy. Site says 30 minutes, I never got more than 20 when it was new and now I get around 15. Definitely source some spare batteries. They do charge relatively quickly, but often. If you dig up grass/roots, it's a bit of a hassle to clear the stuff out between the tines. I'd prefer Lynch Pins so they're easier to take off, clear out, and put back on. As is it's sturdy, but requires a tool. I don't like that. I'd happily trade ease of use for 5% fragility. It gets hot. If you're really working it in virgin ground, you'll smell the motor getting hot. I guess it's a blessing the battery craps out fairly soon so it doesn't fry itself. All in all, considering I used it during the summer, I guess the multiple breaks waiting for it to charge was a blessing, but it was still annoying. If it came with 2 or 3 batteries, I'd have given it five stars. ... show more

  • Not ready for prime time. It is a maneuverable lightweight and relatively easy to use.
The problem is that it claims to have 30 minutes approximately of run time, I was lucky to get 20 minutes before it overheated/the battery was drained. I'm going to keep the unit because it makes a quickie weeding implement but it's definitely not a workhorse for any serious, tilling or cultivating. One suggestion to the manufacturer is a quick removal of the tines to clean them of accumulated routes/or a motor release on the tines so they can be rotated to clear the tines, the motor locks the tines in position so it's difficult to rotate to clean. ... show more

  • Easy to use
Worked perfectly in my 32’ X 32’ garden tilling the grass growing between my plants. I am a 120 pound 66 y/o and found it easy to use!

  • Nearly perfect for both my raised beds and in ground gardens
After using it for a couple months, I can report this tiller is very easy to use and light weight. It works perfectly for what I need. The only issues I've had are with the lower handle and a jammed stick. The adjustable handle is not the most sturdy and doesn't always stay in place when you're moving the tiller through the soil. It just means I have to stop more often and adjust. I will find a better way at some point but for now its ok. The other issue is if you get anything jammed between the tiller and the guard, you can't reverse the rotation to get the debris out. I hadn't noticed a thicker sized stick being under the top soil and spooled it into the tiller. It was a battle to wrestle it out. Overall, I am still very pleased with this tool and would buy the same one again. ... show more

  • Great Tillerl - Poor battery
I purchased this tiller. It worked great for about 15 minutes then the battery ran down. My husband purchased a 20-volt 6-amp battery to replace it. After purchasing the new battery and charging it the tiller worked great, cutting up roots and turning over the soil. I contacted the seller and he tried to help but the seller just does not have a 20 v 6-amp battery and the battery that comes with it just doesn’t charge up enough. If you are willing to purchase an additional battery it is a great tiller. ... show more
