Advertised 14 Inches, the Manual Says 12.5 -- A Promising Shovel Replacement, Snow Test Pending
Size: 14 inch
THE SPEC DISCREPANCY: The clearing width is advertised as 14 inches, but the product manual clearly states 12.5 inches (see photo). The same table lists the intake height as 16 cm (about 6.3 inches, not the advertised 7) and the tool at 21V; the listing's "42V" appears to be the two included 21V batteries added together. Just to be ultra-clear: only one battery can be used at a time, so the tool itself is NOT 42V. THE PURPOSE: This is obviously not meant to replace a real snowblower. I bought it to replace, or nearly replace, my snow shovel on the porch and the small walkways where getting my actual snowblower in is problematic, and I expect it to fill that role fine. It has not snowed yet, so everything below comes from assembly and running it dry. THE ASSEMBLY: The kit is the power head, a three-piece handle, a secondary handle, two batteries and one charger. Assembly took a few minutes with no tools, and the instructions were clear enough. Each handle joint carries power through a two-pin connector that locks in place, with a retaining clip on either side. The joints fit very snugly and make a reasonably rigid pole, though not as rigid as a one-piece pole would be. A detent pin at the head lets you choose from discrete angles between 0 and 90 degrees to suit your height. (a little bit past 0-90 actually, but the practical use range is 90 degrees). THE MOTOR: This is my one concern. The drive does not seem to be geared down much, if at all: I can easily turn the impeller by hand, I can stop it under power with my hand, and it takes about two seconds to spin up. It appears to rely on speed rather than gearing for its throwing torque. Whether that holds up in wet, heavy snow, only time will tell. THE SAFETY: Some form of stall protection is built in. Hold the impeller and the motor clicks a few times and stops; do it again and it locks out for about five seconds. That is welcome, because the impeller is open with no guard. It is still a substantial piece of plastic spinning very fast, and it will hurt anyone who puts a hand or foot in it. (but, this is no different than any other snow blower, so I'm not complaining, just observing). BOTTOM LINE: Build quality matches what I expect at this price, and it arrived complete and undamaged. Buy it as a shovel replacement for porches and walkways, not as a snowblower, and know that it clears 12.5 inches, not 14. ... show more

Seems to be a solid tool@a fair price-however I don't like proprietary batteries coming with my tool
Size: 14 inch
Here's what I like about this cordless snow shovel: it has a 14 inch path that it will cut. It has a throwing distance of 26 feet and it comes with a 42V electric motor with a max of 90 minute working time for my driveway , or my patio deck or walkway. Some of the features of this snow shovel: it has an adjustable height and ergonomic grip. It's lightweight and portable and has a secure lock on. It adjusts anywhere from 50 inches to adjust up to 62 inches which is a wide range for peoples comfort. it is cordless and will cut a swarth that is 14 inches wide on snow up to 7 inches deep . this comes with 2- 21V 4.5 amp hour batteries and a charger. It has a brushless low noise motor , it's easy to use, and easy to assemble and extremly lightweight.... I find this to be well priced at less than $136 and right now on Amazon. There is a 10% coupon off making this an even better value... But what I don't particular about this snowblower is that the batteries and the charger that come with it are apparently proprietary to this unit. As result of that, I searched now on the website to buy replacement batteries to know if I would ever be able to get them when needed, and, unfortunately, Alexis and Amazon was not able to help me find anything that would fit this ... therefore, I guess my open question is when these batteries go ( and they do go) do I have to throw out the entire unit as opposed to units and tools that I buy that are compatible with DeWalt Makita and Milwaukee products (which I much prefer)- than to have a tool made with proprietary batteries and charger that have no REPLACEMENTS ON AMAZON ?...If that's the case and these batteries die in one or two years. Do I throw out my $135 snow shovel? -just a question to think about ? I would have much preferred that this company POHIR would have produced this unit using compatible batteries, such as the DEWALT, Milwaukee or Makita as so many other power tools now do so that I could use my own batteries, my own chargers, and that would have allowed them to also deliver this unit much cheaper to them not having to produce and grant me two batteries and a charger. It would've also guaranteed me that in a year or two if my batteries die that I'm not throwing this out and looking for a brand new snow shovel-we're buying their 2028 model from the same company.??? ... show more

Powerful Cordless Snow Shovel That Makes Smaller Areas Much Easier to Clear
Size: 14 inch
This 14-inch cordless snow shovel is a great middle ground between manually shoveling and pulling out a full-size snow blower. The 14-inch clearing width works especially well for sidewalks, decks, patios, steps, and smaller sections of a driveway where a larger machine can be inconvenient. The brushless motor has good power, and the advertised throwing distance of up to 26.5 feet helps get the snow well away from the area you're clearing instead of simply pushing it to the side. The cordless design is also a huge advantage since there's no extension cord to drag around or gasoline engine to start. I really like that it comes with two 4.5Ah batteries. Having a second battery available provides considerably more usable runtime and lets you swap batteries instead of stopping halfway through the job. The listed 60–90 minute total working time is also a nice amount for this type of cordless snow-removal tool, although actual runtime will naturally depend on snow depth and conditions. At 42V, it feels much more capable than the small battery-powered snow shovels meant only for very light dustings. It's still compact enough to store without taking up nearly as much room as a traditional snow blower. Overall, this is a convenient snow-removal tool for anyone who wants something faster and easier than a regular shovel without needing a full-size snow blower for every snowfall. The brushless motor, two 4.5Ah batteries, 14-inch clearing width, and cordless operation make it particularly useful for quickly clearing walkways, decks, patios, and smaller driveway areas. ... show more

Convenient Cordless Snow Shovel for Quick Clearing on Walkways and Decks
Size: 14 inch
I like that this battery-powered snow shovel gives you an easy way to clear freshly fallen snow from porches, walkways, and deck boards without the strain of manual shoveling or the hassle of dragging out a heavy gas-powered snow blower. The 14-inch clearing path is an ideal size for narrow walkways and steps where larger machines simply cannot fit. Having two batteries included in the package is easily one of the best features here because you can keep one fully charged and swap them out if you have a longer driveway or heavier snowfall to work through. The electric motor kicks on instantly with a pull of the trigger, throwing snow cleanly off the path and saving your back from repetitive heavy lifting. The handle adjusts to fit your height comfortably, which gives you good leverage while guiding the shovel forward. Because it is battery operated, you never have to deal with extension cords tangling around steps, buying gas, or changing engine oil in freezing temperatures. For anyone needing a lightweight, dependable tool to handle light to moderate winter snow on steps, patios, and sidewalks, this cordless shovel offers fantastic everyday convenience and strong value for the money. ... show more

Effective, But...
Size: 14 inch
i like this snow shovel. it's great for light duty snow removal. basically, whatever you're using a typical broom for to remove snow (stairs, walkways etc) you can use this instead and finish the job in a fraction of the time. assembly is very easy and it comes with 2 batteries that last plenty long (looks like about 35 minutes of continuous use). Any issues? well for starters there's a lot more plastic here than i'd like. on the one hand that's a good thing as this shovel is quite light. it's easy to move around and i'd imagine if you're an older person you're going to have no trouble using this. on the other hand, light + plastic isn't the most durable combination out there. now i cannot speak to durability as i've only used it on a very limited basis so far, but it does seem well constructed. we'll see how long it lasts... the second thing to note is they go out of their way to advertise this as being a 42 volt unit, but the battery is only 21v. kind of shady to combine the power of BOTH batteries to determine power as you cannot use both batteries at the same time. so yeah, it's only 21 volts. still, that's plenty enough for the light usage i described, so i'm not sure what they were trying to do in the first place by claiming 42 volts... finally, as others mentioned, these are proprietary batteries with a proprietary charger. again, time will tell how this plays out in the long term, but i doubt you'll be able to find replacement batteries if you ever need them. so what are we left with? well it's a nice broom replacement that works wonderfully for light and moderate snow removal. for that, it's great. the jury is out on how long it will last in terms of durability or battery longevity, and i'll update this review over the seasons. as of now, i would recommend it ... show more

Ready for the snow! ⛄️
Size: 14 inch
OK, I want to be better prepared for the snowy season, so I love the idea of this cordless snow shovel. I don’t expect this device to be able to plow my street clear, but I hope it will help with the walkways and save my back with some shoveling. Although the snow hasn’t started yet, I put it together to test it out. Here’s what I found out: ✅ Setup so super easy. The handles snap together like those old vacuum cleaners. No tools required. Setup under 2 minutes. ✅ Comes with 2 batteries, so I can always be charging one while I use the other. ✅ Bright yellow. Looks good. ✅ Easy to use. Pull the trigger & it spins. ✅ Battery snaps right on top, like many standard tools. No gas required! No maintenance! Easy-Peasy! ✅ It’s quiet! ✅ It’s cordless! What I had trouble with ❌ The bolt that holds the handle in place seems a little short to keep it in place. But then again, I could be attaching it in the wrong place. Maybe I should read the manual to make sure! 😆 lol BRING ON THE SNOW! ⛄️ ... show more

A life saver for winter snow clearing
Size: 14 inch
This cordless snow shovel is a lightweight and easy way to clear out light snow effortlessly. Assembly of the shovel was super simple as its just several rods that stick together and clipping on the handle. Included are two 21V batteries for continuous runtime for larger snow clearing tasks. The entire shovel is fairly lightweight and the angle adjustment of the shovel head lets you get comfortable without having to break your back. As for performance the motor seems pretty strong and the head spins quite fast. Its going to have no issues tossing light snow that hasn't been compacted. ... show more

Save your back, let this do the work!
Size: 14 inch
I can't wait to try this out! It's a cross between a snow blower and a shovel. Kit comes with two 21v, 4.5 AH batteries and a charger. Charger plugs directly into the batteries, no cradle. This does require a little assembly, in the form of snapping the handle sections together. I like the trigger assembly and lock button so you don't have to keep holding the trigger. The motor spins at a very fast revolution. This isn't designed to shovel up ice, only loose snow. Priced very competitively for what you get. Overall the tool feels nice and stout, a quality build. Will update after the first snow! ... show more
