I love this mat. It’s a good size for moving around while standing at my desk. I love that it helps me stretch my calves and Achilles tendons. I got blue and it’s a nice color. I just wish I got purple because I ended up ordering other purple accessories but I’m very happy with it.

Worth the Price Excellent Mat

Here’s my No BS review First of all, thank you to this company. I try to keep my reviews positive as much as possible and lately that’s been impossible. Not here, though, they reached out to see how the product. I literally stand on my feet all day. I haven’t sat at my desk in over five years and I’ve tried 1 million of these mats and they break down within a couple of months but you can see they’re gonna break down within the first week. This mat shows no signs of that. I think I’m two weeks in now that’s about 120 hours of standing on it the edges and all the built-in detail really help for moving and making you more comfortable and relieving pressure. I will update this in a few months to see if it still is standing tall, but for now don’t look at another Mat I know this seems a little expensive but I did the math and with all the ones I bought up till now I spent way way more than this and this thing has a warranty for some ridiculous amount of time like 17 years and I’m hoping that to be standing at the desk in 17 years Enjoy a great product

Very comfy

This mat is very comfy on my feet. I was skeptical of the reviews saying it was designed to keep you moving, but the variable topography really does make me want to move around and is great for massaging your feet. The only bummer is that the biggest benefits are when I am shoeless, which means that I need to put my shoes on whenever I leave my cubicle and take them off when I return. This is kind of a hassle, but is not a product deficiency, as that would be the case with most any mat. The mat is quite large, so if you have a small cube like mine, the floorspace might be a bit tight when you are using the mat and need to push the chair aside. While the mat is very easy to slide aside when you want to use your chair, this feature also causes it to move around a bit while you're using it. I found myself needing to reposition it fairly often. And while comfy on my feet, I found that my legs were still tired at the end of the day. But I don't think any mat can solve this problem.

Outstanding Standing Desk Mat

As a larger-framed person with plantar fasciitis I was a bit concerned about standing at my desk all day. Could my knees and feet handle it? (probably not) Was there enough cushion in my carpet to keep me comfy? (nope) Then I saw this mat. I tried it. I love it. The mat is squishy without being unstable. I can modify my stance, move around a bit, stretch my calves, Enjoy some super soft places or some supportive places. I can work at my desk all day and my plantar fasciitis does not make me pay the next day. I am comfortable and can get my work done, including holding video meetings and training sessions. I wear hard-soled slippers and don't have to worry about slipping or sliding around on the mat. The mat is on carpet, but it does not "walk" during the day. However, I can easily slide it under the desk when I am not using it. Considering the amount of time I spend standing on this mat, it is well worth the money. A great purchase and a necessity for anyone using a standing desk, particularly if you have foot, knee, or back issues and/or are a larger-sized person.

Makes standing a completely different experience

My first thought looking at the Topo was "you want how much for a glorified pad?" But the reviews were all so positive, it had me interested. It came well-packaged, and looked perfect, although on the underside it has some color discontinuity, like it was spray painted badly - but the top facing side looks flawless. I stood on it with the plastic bag it came in still on it, in case I thought I might hate it and return it, but the feeling of the pad, with my socks on, was glorious. As I used it, my feel started naturally dancing around the various features, changing my stance every few minutes. Every position change brings a different, comfortable feeling. When I took the plastic off, there was no noticeable odor that I remember, if there was it didn't stick around. I'm very sensitive to odors. This pad goes far beyond just making it more comfortable to use a standing desk. It's the difference between wearing flip flops and wearing the finest distance running shoes. I've had it about a month. I don't think I could go back to a regular, flat pad. My only concern is that over time the features might wear out and give less firm resistance to pressure. It seems too perfectly firm and compliant to my feet now to not eventually, like a fine pair of running shoes, wear out. But I've not seen any complaints about that anywhere else. If it does start losing it's "spring", I would invest in another one. I'm 6'4" and weigh 215 lbs, so I would forgive it failing under such load. It does make some very low scrunching noises, it's not completely silent, but nothing squeeky, which is nice. 4.5 Stars. Well done, Ergodriven.

My philosophy is you pay now or you pay later. I received my mat the same day my company offered me a complimentary "typical mat" found in a nearby office. Though I paid out of pocket, I chose to keep the Topo. I tried the typical mat for 2 days followed by use of the Topo mat for 2 days. While the typical mat was "fine" as far as my knowledge of mats was concerned, the Topo mat takes it to a whole other level, encouraging movement and shifting. This is the key to the product. I found this essential for my posture and minimizing the pain at my stand up desk (also paid out of pocket). My knees were locking in place on a hard surface without any mat. After using the typical mat, my knees locked in place but this time on a cushioned mat. That seemed ok and the thought of returning the mat and keeping my money crossed my mind. But I was tempted. I was pretty convinced that after trying it out for a couple days, I would still return it. Noting the return policy, footwear guidelines and maintaning its plastic wrap, I set about using it. It's been several weeks and I am still convinced of my good decision . It's hard for me to explain the mechanics of why this leaves me refreshed, with less pain (though it's not a miracle, I'm still in physical therapy) and more mobility, but the website does a great job of this. I have found their claims, at least for me, to be true. I hope this helps in your decision.

Game changer

I’ve been using a standing desk for 2 months due to an injury that makes it difficult to sit. The standing desk gave me my life back, until my feet started to ache at the end of the day. I looked into shoes designed for standing all day but I didn’t want to be locked in to one shoe style. Upon deeper research I started looking into mats. At first I found the standard “kitchen” style for restaurant workers but wasn’t sold. When I saw the Ergo mat I stopped immediately because of the shape, irregular with some ridges. It was more expensive but the reviews were almost all 5’s. I gave it a go, as I have found investing in quality products is less expensive and more beneficial in the long game. When I first received it I worked with shoes on for a few hours. I work from home so I decided to go barefoot. Game changer. I have to say it again, this mat is a game changer. The design encourages calf stretches and heel lifts due to the design. It is much larger than I realized giving me options for foot placement. It is also hefty. At the end of a work day instead of having aching feet I feel energized. Honestly, it’s really fun to stand on and I smile more which is always a good thing! Happy at the bottom, happy at the top!
