Pros: Works well for clearing dry to medium dry snow. Lightweight and easy to use Battery lasts quite a while Works well to clear snow even when the motor isn’t on (like a traditional shovel) Cons: Doesn’t really work for wet slushy snow. It just won’t throw it and it bogs down quickly Does not throw snow near as far as it claims. Overall I would still recommend this item for the price point it’s at.

Snow. I like it when I can stay home if I wish and shovel when I want, and hate it when I need to be somewhere and it’s just in my way. Unfortunately, we live in “the snowiest major city in the US,” so more often than not, it’s a nuisance. I have a two stage snowblower, a fairly decent one, and only a few years ago would have laughed at an electric snow shovel. I bought my beast two years before we bought a house in said super snowy city. It was perfect for our living situation at the time. However, due to the layout of our current property, I’m unable to get my snow blower from our garage in the back of the house to our driveway or walkway. We live on a hill, which further complicates things. Not clearing snow simply is not an option. We’re both getting older and don’t have the energy to shovel snow like we used to, especially not how it falls here. To put in it in perspective, as of December 31, 2025, we’ve already had over 70 inches, with two feet falling in 24 hours earlier this week and more coming down as I write this. So, I needed something that could keep up. Let me also say that I am NOT the type who will go out every two hours, or in the middle of the night to “keep up with it” like i probably should. We ordered this little guy after the snow storm that hit on Thanksgiving. I used it once last week, there was about an inch or two that had fallen. In that, it was a breeze. The only issue was every few feet I would hit a crack in the sidewalk, just as I had built up some momentum. But that’s not an issue with the shovel, it’s an issue with the sidewalk. I knew the real test would be to come. And come it did, two nights ago and all day yesterday. I was working from home, so decided to go out after I was done. Mind you, the specs on this guy say it’ll handle up to six inches of depth. That is correct. However, the snow when I shoveled yesterday was 22”. I knew when I was researching that there would easily be snowfalls much more than the height of any electric shovel, so I opted to go with one without a scraper or wheels that would add extra weight. My technique would be to scrape off the top 4-6” at a time until I hit ground level, so i needed it to be fairly light. This was how I tackled nearly two feet of fresh lake effect snow. I shoveled a path for all the necessary areas- from our door, down our walkway to the sidewalk, up and down our sidewalk, the bit from our walkway from the sidewalk to the road and the part of our driveway from the sidewalk to the road. I even did around the fire hydrant across the street since the neighbors on that side always seem to overlook it. I ended up going through both batteries by the time I was done, but remember, for about every three feet of pathway, I was making three-four passes before moving on to the next few feet of pathway. For anything under 6”, this step is unnecessary. I also only went as wide as the shovel itself, meaning I just made a single path in the snow. I knew if I tried to clear the entire sidewalk, I’d run out of battery before finishing. I can always widen it later, but needed to have enough done to make it passable. The shovel is not perfect, and my arms were sore from holding it all the time, but if I HAD gone out every 4-6” of snowfall, it would be a non-issue. For what it is and what I was asking of it, it did a fantastic job. It handled the push back from the plow at the end of the driveway fairly well, too. Just take a little at a time and don’t overdo it. You can hear when the motor is getting a workout, so just chip away at it and it’ll be through it in no time. One other thing i noticed was that after a while, it didn’t want to shift direction of the output. The lever just seemed stuck when I tried to angle it to the left. I didn’t push it and just made do. It was fine after I let it sit for a bit. I think some snow or ice had clogged something, but once it warmed up when I brought it in to take a closer look (without the battery in it), it was fine. All in all, it was FAR better than trying to go out, lifting shovelful after shovelful of heavy snow (even the “light and fluffy” stuff gets heavy when there’s enough of it) and running the risk of throwing your back out or giving yourself a heart attack. It’s about as heavy as a weedwacker, so if you’re good with that, you’ll be good with this in this much snow. But again, if you typically have less than 6” snowfall, you’re golden. If I don’t come back and update this review, it means this little guy survived what’s shaping up to be a snowy winter for the record books. Longevity remains to be seen, but so far, it’s pretty promising.

Love, love, love my electric snow shovel. I cannot believe I went this long without one. I live in Minnesota so the weather is not exactly ocean breeze, hot days. This shovel works for a few inches of snow when I don't want to pull out my heavy snowblower. You get two batteries and the charge last a long time. You do have to bend over to change the direction of the auger blades but it beats lifting heavy snow. I am in my late 70's so it makes it easy for me to handle the snow. It is an absolute must for anyone. Worth every penny.

This is great for the price. Not sure how it would do with more than 4” of snow but worked fine for my purposes. Throws the snow a good distance, the batter lasted for my entire driveway and sidewalks, and easy to use. However, I find having to switch the direction a bit of a pain and the height of the shaft short. I’m only 5’6” and it feels too short. It didn’t really clog or get stuck until I was trying to remove compact snow. It’s not made for that.

Very good unit but not wide enough at 12 inches. Right after getting unit we got snowed on here in Indiana,(image that being December and all), anyway it would throw 4 inches of powder but would take FOREVER...Got out my 24 inch gas powered snow blower to do drive way, used this unit for side walk to porch/porch it worked great. Light weight also.PS not lazy just have a few years on ME!

I’m totally impressed. This snowblower has worked its little heart out this week. I can only do 20-30 minutes at a time and so far it hasn’t run out of battery. Because it’s light, I’ve been able to hold it up to take off the top layer, then get the rest as a second swipe (we got more than 8”). I feel like I got what I expected from the size and cost.
