We are using the "SOMINS Cordless Roller Shades for Indoor Windows, Roller Window Shades, Room Darkening Roller Shades with Spring System 46" W x 72" H Roller Blinds for Indoor Windows (White)" over the window of the laundry center in our basement. Installing it wasn't as simple as I thought it would be because I hung it outside the window frame from the ceiling. I placed my mounting brackets with their backs into the corner of the wall & ceiling. The shade mounted but it was hard to get the frame to snap into the brackets. Then I realized the shade didn't want to unroll when pulled. Turned out the diameter of the rolled up shade was wider than the frame so it was pressed tightly against the wall so, Of Course it wouldn't unroll! 🫣 SO...... I took down the mounting brackettes, then used a ⅜" shim on the wall to aid a uniform mounting of them far enough out grom the wall now for the full roller to clear the wall. The frame snapped into the mounting brackets without the extra effort previously needed, and the shade rolls up & down as smooth as silk! So definitely RECCOMENDED with the heads up that mounting the brackets vertically on the wall is the easier than on the top inside of the window frame or on the ceiling. 👍👍👍👍

This blind is easy to install, functions easily and is very sleek. The description can be a little confusing as it uses the term "blackout" coating whereas the images clearly note that this is in fact a 50% light blocking blind. The fabric is adequately thick and uniform. The balance mechanism allows one to easily slide the blind up or down to any position and it just stays put. There are no spring release points which means this shade is never going to wind itself back up to the top on its own. It comes with a clear plastic pull which can be snapped onto the hem bar at the bottom if desired. The install was a breeze as there are only two holes to drill and two screws to install. I placed each mounting bracket 6" in from the two jambs. The 30" wide shade unit fit perfectly in my 30" window frame. If you want to surface mount the shade it comes with two slip on covers to slip on each end and two mollies if you need to mount it in gyp board.

I was so exited to purchase this and cover the window in my laundry room! Worst choice ever. It is such poor quality and super thin material for the price I paid. I had bought one before for my living room window and I loved it. Hoping this one would be the same but it is the worse and it doesn’t even block the sunlight. Do not purchase!!! It’s a ripoff

We have some windows that needed blinds and decided to try these out. They said 50% light blocking but really they’re no better than the paper ones you can find at your hardware store. Installation was easy but for the price you should Have blackout. The fabric has a nice pattern and is textured but thin.

I got this for a window in my camper and it works perfectly for still allowing light in but keeping people from being able to see in. Installation was very fast and easy, two screws to put the brackets in and simply pop on the shade. The rolling and retract function is very smooth and seamless. Honestly I can't find anything to criticize and am very pleased with it.

At $38, this roller shade is well worth it's price and great at blocking direct sun light! This roller shade comes with all needed parts to install and is also cordless to make it safe for kids and is of good quality. The shade also comes in at least 22 different sizes so you can fit these into any window space! A TRUE GREAT FIND 5/5 Stars!
