The media could not be loaded. I wanted a light that could be very dim for just before bed and bright enough to read by otherwise. This delivers. At it's dimmest it consumes 1/2 a watt of power and is about twice as bright as a good night-light. At full brightness it's seems about equivalent to a 60 watt bulb, and consumes 6.5 watts. Perfect for a bedside lamp, a bit too dim for a living room. I was worried that it might use some standby power because of the touch to turn on feature but my kill-a-watt meter shows 0 when it's off - which means it's below the 0.3 watts lower limit of my killawatt meter. The charger is rated for 2A but in my experience it takes 3-4 hours to charge my phone. Personally I prefer the slower charging because I'm using it overnight anyway and slower charging is marginally better for the battery. I have a few issues: I was hoping you could touch any part of the base/stand to turn on/off but it's only a finger sized spot where the logo is. But because it's fast to respond you don't have to be too careful, you can just swipe your hand over the entire base and it will detect when your hand passes over the sweet spot reliably (See my video for an example). So that's ok. What I really wish was different is how you adjust the brightness - turn on the light and then hold the light switch to make it slowly get brighter if it's already dim or dimmer if it's already brighter. thankfully it remembers what you had it set to so if I only want it as bedtime mood lighting I don't have to adjust it each time. But I really wish there was a dial or something more direct. ... show more

Not as bright as I hoped, but okay. Nice that it’s dimmable. I’m concerned that the light assembly is not replaceable, but will deal with that when it’s time. REALLY nice to have a USB A port in the base.
