The no cord thing is amazing and I can't understand how it works, but it's pretty nice to not have to wrestle with cords and have once side higher or lower than the other, just lift or drop it into place and it's perfect every time. Your gonna fight with these instructions and video, but using common sense will get you there. Pics in instructions are blurry and hard to make out. Video the mans hand is in the way to see how to put valance on. lmbo Helpful tip would be to put valance on before putting shade into track if you are installing flush inside mount. That worked for me. Slightly hard to lower shade so make sure you use all screws to install brackets. All and all they are a decent shade. But when lowered to lowest point bottom slat does not close. Once I pulled valance out of box I noticed a dent in center of it, at first I thought that might be where a screw has to go but I was wrong it's just a dent . Not gonna worry about it at this point after finally getting this shade installed. BUT with the cost of this 34x36 shade seller needs to inspect item before sending them to buyer...just say n and good luck folks. ... show more

I really want to knock off a star for the instructions, which are worthless. I still figured it out. I'm slowly replacing my old blinds with new ones, and all different! The old blinds in the house are being destroyed by my wife's cats, so I have been looking for ones that might be a bit stronger or cat proof. This one definitely is weighty, and not flimsy bendy plastic, so I think it will last. I seemed to get the measurements correct for my window. And while installation was ok, even without usable instructions, it still was harder on one end as the ends where you insert the blinds, has a clip to keep it in place. That clip was rather difficult to get in place, likely from one screw not wanting to screw in as far as it should. But it does look pretty good finally installed. Price was pretty high compared to the others I've been getting, but this is easily the beefiest blind in the house now. ... show more
