Comes w 2 (4 amp) batteries, which is very nice. For a light tool, it does a great job of tilling. Easy to assemble, but: 1. No instruction on how to attach the shield. According to the directions, it comes attached. This is not true. 2. The pins that hold the blades in place are a poor design, and would seem likely to fall out.     • Great little tool
I have multiple flower/veggie/herb beds around my house and needed something to occasionally turn them over. This does an incredible job on those other than old roots and weeds tangle in the blades very easily. I had some bare spots in my lawn from where I removed a pool and planted grass last year. It did not do a great job on the more compact soil but I'm okay with this. It did enough to rough up an inch or two. ... show more

I have a small plot of ground that hasn't been broken in a couple of years. I went over it once with this, and it did a really nice job. I have to say, that I was pleasantly surprised. I have owned gas ones in the past, and they did good as well. But I think this one just as good, without the hassle of a gas engine. It comes with 2 batteries which is very nice. And it only took around 2 hours for the one to charge back up. I have no complaints at all it did a really good job! Now if you're looking to freshly break soil, especially soil with clay, this might not work real well until it's first broke. But you could always try. It's a good "follow up" for sure.     • Works far better than I expected. Better packaging, batteries and manual would get it 5 stars.
Mine came complete with all parts, though most were rattling around in the box. It's simple to put together, though the manual would have you read thru 40 pages of warngings first:) Basically, it's a battery, a DC motor, a switch, and several sharp wheels, so not a complex bit of kit. I used it for 3 hours yesterday, and have to admit I was kind of gob-smacked at how well it actually worked. It blasted thru the creeping charlie that had popped up suddenly, de-weeded an above ground bed (early spring), removed overgrown edging so I can reseed it....and the battery was still good. And is pretty easy to use, too, not to mention pretty lighweight (less stressful to use than an ego weed whacker). Overall, I'm really impressed at how well it's working for me, but: - The batteries are, if anything, a bit scary, with circuit board traces visible near the charge port, and kind of a flimsy charging cable (no doubt works a fuse, too:). Not sure how or where you'd get replacements, either. BUT - they did charge quickly enough with no signs of overheating, etc, so maybe I'm just being too fussy as regards safety and "UL" like concerns. - The (really thick) cardboard box it arrived in had loose components rattling around inside but all parts were there including spare clips for the cutter wheels. - Assembly was simple, though the main tube fitments were a bit too tight, or dry, so I used a bit of light bulb grease to help that out, which worked really well. - Ergonomics is quite good, too - it is not stressful to use (watch your feet!), or hard on arms or shoulder (the wheels take up most of the little weight there is). (My neighbor has an expensive gas powered one, and was amazed at how much lighter this one is.) - The manual is mostly many pages of warnings (as if the nastly looking don't scare you enough), and only a page or so of actual 'instructions'. Nothing on how to use it, either. I'm really impressed, aside from the lack of 'QC' items. It'd be a five star review if it was better packaged, and had UL approvals on the batteries, and a slightly better manual. ... show more

Put together this product and the assembly with the instructions were straight forward and very easy. Missing a bolt for the back but found something I had at home to secure the top black flap around the tillers. The batteries that came with the product are cool. Plug them into an outlet and let them charge. The handle can be moved up and down for holding preference. Does a good job at breaking the dirt up. I would recommend this product for small areas. 3 stars as missing a part at this price without a number/email to contact the vendor directly for a replacement part is an issue. I will update the review to a higher rating if the vendor actually is able to correct this quickly. Wanted to upgrade my review. The vendor reached out and made this a 100 percent. I absolutely love this tiller and would HIGHLY recommend this tiller if you need to till up something. ... show more

    • Dangerous cultivator
This cultivator has pins that do not keep the blades in place. Which means the blades could come off when you use it. There was no mention in the instructions of the guard that is in the box or how to put it on. The screw was missing also for the guard. When I opened the box I noticed there was no packing. The two batteries were just tossed in the box along with all the other parts. It was a jumbled mess when I received it. I could tell that someone had already received this cultivator but returned it. The fact that the pins do not stay to keep the blades on the cultivator, could be a lawsuit in the future. It really irritates me that I paid full price for something that someone else received before me. It was not new. I used Amazon a lot but I am going to think twice about what I buy from Amazon for now on. I gave it one star but it doesn't deserve one star. ... show more
