After 1 hour charge: During charge, blinking red LED; after one hour charge, same characteristics. Different charge module and charging cord, additional 1-hour charge: Same characteristics. Review of previous reviews of a large number of returns for the same fault characteristics. Replacement ordered: The replacement failed. Similar characteristics. Conclusion: Factory manufacturing flaw, unable to identify faulty charge/battery circuit. Recommendation: This drill should be avoided. ... show more

1 year update - Still working well. I don't use this for really heavy duty work, but its been fine for basic drilling, assembly and driving screws into wood, which is how I'd expect most people to use it. Battery is holding up too. The price has gone up a little, but its still a decent price for a starter tool. ------------- I like cheap tools and so far I'm impressed with this. I bought it for my 8 yo son, but I will use it as well when I don't feel like hauling out something bigger. I haven't been able to test it extensively but so far it does everything I'd expect. If you're a pro, stick with pro tools... But many homeowners could get by with this for general drilling/driving. It has decent power-- its not an impact wrench... but I've driven 3" deck screws and drilled holes with spade bits. It just needs to spin fast and true with decent torque which it does. The exterior build quality feels good but its much smaller and lighter than I expected. I thought it would be a full size tool but its even smaller than most 12v drills, which I prefer for its purpose. The handle has a nice rubber grip and is narrow for small hands. I also like that the battery doesn't need a separate charger which is a pain to haul around. This would be good to keep in a truck, junk drawer or small tool box. You just get the drill, one battery, a charging cable and no accessories (which is best because you'll want to get quality bits). Yes this is cheap so obviously corners were cut somewhere-- probably on internals... So will it last? Who knows, but I've had $150+ Dewalt and Milwaukee drills fail on me. I bought this drill to work on my RC Cars. It’s the perfect size and strength when used with hex bits and small screws. I even used it to install under cabinet lighting and it’s still running on the initial charge. This was a true test because there were several screws that needed to be pre-drilled before attaching the plastic clips. First impressions: I will be using this to put together a tv stand tonight but played around with it to familiarize myself with it and it feels really good in your palm/hand. It has a decent weight, came fully charged, learned how to adjust the chuck and tension settings. I think this will be my new reg screwdriver, home drill. It's not built for large jobs. More like an upgraded drill/screwdriver for small home repairs. I like the 2 speed settings as well. Wish it came with the screwdriver head that has the wider tip for furniture but it'll still work. My tool kit I bought that has the manual screwdriver with the socket head has wider bits that are universal. ... show more

I purchased this drill as a Christmas gift for my daughter. It never charged and never worked. She emailed the company but didn’t get a response. Being that she lives hours away from us, I didn’t get it to ship it back. Instead, she went and bought one by a different company. I am not a professional but this thing is really easy to handle. Its light weight. Battery life is marvelous. There is no bits with the drill only battery charger and drill is in the package. I bought the deko drill bits set separately and together they work perfectly.

Much like the other reviews, the drill doesn't charge. The battery indicator light just blinks red. This is my second try with this product. Both times, the drill did not work. Waste of time and money.
