First of all, I already own one of these detail sanders and it works great. It's my go to when I need to do some detailed sanding. Everything about it is great except for one thing....it's not cordless. So I was excited to give this a try and be more mobile. It sands just as good as my prior sander. But it is extremely loud! Way louder than the old detail sander and even my orbital sander. It's not a deal breaker but something that would've been nice if it was a bit quieter. Speaking of loud, the pink color is rather loud too. But that's ok since most of my projects are done at the privacy of my own home. Two other big pluses is the storage bag and the number of replacement sanding pads. A good sander that lets me move around without worrying about an electrical cord.

I got this to finish some picture frames I’m making and it worked perfectly. It’s obviously not going to compete with the speed and features of larger name brands, but for simple projects it’s perfect. I really like that this is cordless and is interchangeable with Makita 18v batteries. It comes with a smaller 2Ah battery but I was able to fit a 5Ah on there just fine. I also like that it has a small dust collection pouch, though it’s probably way better to use an actual shop vac dust collection system. It comes with a bag too, which is awesome as I’m partial to keeping my tools organized and protected. This makes it easy to keep battery and charger and extra sand paper all together with the sander. As far as sanding goes, it works as expected. It won’t be comparable to a larger random orbiter sander, but it sure beats hand sanding. On the flip side, there are some drawbacks. For one, the pink color is hideous. I don’t know who they’re targeting, but it’s so strongly pink it’s abrasive. Even if you like pink, this is overboard on just how pink it is. It’s almost neon. Secondly, the dust collection bag can be hard to put on. There’s a rubber O-ring that it goes over to stay secured, but it’s difficult to push it on. I felt like I was gonna break the weak internal plastic structure of the dust bag as I was trying to get it on. It did go on eventually and I’m guessing it’ll get easier as I wear it in, but I’m also guessing it’ll get worn down and I’ll have to replace that O-ring at some point. The battery is similarly a little sticky. It doesn’t slide on and click as satisfyingly as others, but it did work and click into place. There are some other bits I don’t love, but are in no way dealbreakers. It is a bit loud. The dust collection doesn’t work as well as I’d like. But overall it’s very handy and well priced. I’ll get good use out of it.

Coming out of the box I was pretty impressed with this cordless sander. I started unwrapping,unpacking, and assembling the package. Lots of sandpaper 60, 80, and 120 grit was nice. Impressive carrying case with a wire rim at the opening that made it easy to load and unload. Then I started having problems. Trying to get the dust collection bag on, and I still haven't got it attached all the way. Turned on the sander and the bag flew right off. I noticed in the video of this sander the bag goes on further than I can get it. I'll have to keep trying. When I did turn on the sander it seemed to vibrate more than other sanders I've used. It was excessively noisy. At this price point I suppose you shouldn't expect a variable speed. That would be nice to have on this sander to calm it down a little. I definitely will be wearing my ear plugs when using this machine. I already use hearing aids. Finally, my inspection and feel of the operation of this sander lead me to believe it's not the best quality. I was once told by a boat repairman that I shouldn't buy an expensive sander to use on my hull. It was his opinion that none of them last very long so I shouldn't waste my money on an expensive sander. It would be his opinion that this was the sander I should buy.

I've always hand-sanded, so I thought I'd try a power sander. My experience with power tools is limited, mainly because they often feel too large and heavy for my small hands. However, this sander fits well in my hand, allowing me to guide it smoothly over the wood. I'm still learning but enjoying the process. I appreciate that it's accessible and holds a charge long enough for my projects. The bag attachment is frustrating as I struggle to attach it on my own, but I'm figuring it out. The pink color isn't great, but it's a minor issue.

This little mouse sander is a cute gift for someone who likes to do small jobs around the house. The pink color really makes it stand out and it adds to the gift value. It is built very well, but more for occasional use. It isn’t a professional quality tool, but it does a good job around the house. The size fits smaller hands and the grip is very comfortable. It is soft to help minimize the effects of the vibration. I do wish it was variable speed though. I think that would have been a feature worth adding. The dust collection bag works well, and it is easy to clean out. This sander comes with sanding pads in three different grits. Everything is nicely organized in a matching bag that can also hold extra items. I like this sander set and I definitely recommend it.
