Internal overload weak grinder. Stay with a Dewalt brand. Waste of money if you use a grinder. Looked like a Dewalt but ain’t.

A lot of these DeWALT compatible tools are light weight, and feel like they will blow apart at any second. This angle grinder feels hefty and is built solid. My DeWALT battery fit on a little firm, but it’s okay. For a battery operated grinder, it spun up fairly quickly so that made me happy, and it has a trigger lock to keep it running. As with most angle grinders, there is a small button on the top of the grinder head that you push, then rotate the spindle by hand until it locks up to hold the spindle solid while you tighten things up with the provided spanner wrench. Two bushings for different sizes of arbor holes are provided. You have 3 speeds ranging from 5500 to 8500 RPM. My plug-in grinder runs at 11,000, so this unit does have its limits. That said, I tested it out on some ½” rebar and it performed really well and did not bog down. It would have been nice to stand the unit up on the battery, but for whatever reason the angle of how the battery mounts is just steep enough that it tips over. Now you have to wait for it to stop spinning before you can lay it down. I’m sure it’s a safety thing, but stupid if you ask me. Another quirk is the angle that the support handle attaches; it actually extends forward a little bit, so the fit in your hand is a little awkward. If you will be doing a lot of heavy grinding you will want a plug-in, but for the quick jobs this grinder is amazing.

I wasn't expecting a lot, but it said it fit Dewalt batteries, so I figured I'd try it out. No joke, I took my DeWalt DCG412b grinder out of my everyday work toolbox and filled its spot with this one. What I actually like about this grinder more than my Dewalt, is that it has a brushless motor that just feels and sounds good, I like the feel of the trigger/switch pull, it performs well and doesn't bog down or seem to struggle on anything I've thrown at it so far. The wheels stay tight, and my Dewalt batteries actually fit really nicely. The only negatives I can say would be that the metal on the retaining nut feels like it could've had a better finish on it, and the random brand name on the sticker looked corny enough that I peeled it off before taking to to work with me. Once it got a little dirty from use, it blended in and looked like it was just another Dewalt power tool

This grinder is a different design than I have seen on DeWalt like tools. I have a few DeWalt angle grinders and they rock. I ordered this for use with disc/flap sanders. I was getting tired of having to constantly switch grinding wheel to sanding wheel to abrasive wheel and back so I have been getting multiple grinders. I like that this one has adjustable settings for the speed control and that it is brushless. At the base by the battery, there is a display for the battery level and a speed control button. This seems to run slower than the DeWalt angle grinders, which is ok for the sander wheels I plan on using with it. It seems to have less of a hard start than the DeWalt brand as well (less immediate torque when pulling the trigger). For the price, this is a good deal.

I really like this non-Dewalt but Dewalt powered grinder! It feels good in my hands and is heavy duty but lightweight. I looked at something similar at Harbor Freight the other day but it was more expensive and currently this has a 20% off coupon. And an actual Dewalt 20v grinder is double the price. For me, this is perfect.

Got this MtiolHig Cordless Angle Grinder for Dewalt 18v/20v Battery to replace another generic grinder with adjustable speed which uses a generic proprietary battery. I use these lighter weight generics alongside a Bosch heavier duty cordless grinder equivalent to a 8A corded and Dewalt 13A heavy duty corded grinder, because for some tasks the lighter-duty longer runtime with adjustable speed and easier handling for more precise control is really helpful. Design is mediocre. This is mostly good, I really like being able to use Dewalt batteries, this has a nice layout, and I like the large trigger, but it has a few problems, one critical. This is described as a 4-1/2in grinder for which a 5/8in-11 arbor is standard but this uses a 1/2in arbor. The battery is set at an angle so the grinder cannot sit upright on the battery. This lacks three side-handle features I always nag about grinders missing, the side-handle does not have a back position (like Skil, Denali, others), the side-handle cannot store the wrench (like Skil, Denali, others), and the side-handle is not rubberized to absorb more vibration (higher-end feature). Build quality is decent for this price point and generally above average for generic brand tools. One glaring exception to that is the side-handle is mediocre, small with thin walls and feels like it could snap off with a hard buck. Functionality is mixed, both decent and poor. Decent in general, works well for what it can do, it's easy to use, the 3 speed settings are nice for certain tasks, has a longer runtime than most cordless grinders, but it's a lighter duty grinder and lacks sufficient power for some tasks. Poor, because it CANNOT use 5/8in-11 threaded attachments which are standard for 4-1/2in grinders. One major thing I wanted to do with this is use a cup-brush for stripping minor rust from metal & debris from rough wood prior to finer sanding and painting, this grinder should be able to do that fine, except I cannot attach the brush, or a sanding pad. I would return this grinder if this were an ordinary purchase and not a Vine item (Vine items cannot be returned except in other special cases). Price point of $69.99 is decent but good with the 15% coupon ($59.49). Overall, 3 stars, decent grinder but is NOT 5/8in-11 it is 1/2in arbor, cannot use threaded attachments.
