It's a great "entry level" cue (I say "entry level" because, despite the seemingly high price tag, professional cues can range from hundreds to THOUSANDS of dollars) - the weight balance is good, the finish runs down the whole length of the cue, and the heavy end's tasteful deep purple color turns heads. The first game I played with it, I sunk four balls in a row - as much as I'd like to chalk that up to beginner's luck or just luck in general, I feel that the quality McDermott cue made a big difference. The only downsides to the McDermott Lucky L69 are the lack of wrapping or grip on the rear end (though this doesn't impair my performance with it), the lack of a quick-separation system such as Uni-Loc (the joint is threaded through its full length, making assembling the cue slightly tedious), and the quality of the soft case it shipped with (the zipper broke off the moment I tried to open it). It's an amazing cue for the price - buy it (or another McDermott Lucky cue that suits your aesthetic taste - there's a wide variety of styles, y'all) already! ... show more
