No, this is not "cold"... It is "cool"... Yes, it works... You can even feel the difference between the two sides of the fabrics... One side is like a really soft, lightweight fleece/flannel that keeps me warm when I have that side to my skin.. The other side is a striped nylon fabric that is silky feeling and feels cool to the touch, and I use that side when I'm hot... Sometimes it actually makes me too cold at night and I have to grab my regular blanket for a bit... It's like a cooling mat... It will absorb heat, so simply move/get some air through it and it's cool again. My daughter is the one that told me about this, and it helps her with might sweats... Def recommend... I haven't washed mine yet, but my daughter washes hers all the time with no issues.

My other half sleeps very hot but has this whole routine. They cannot sleep with the ceiling fan because the breeze hitting their neck bothers them. They need to sleep in a light weight long sleep shirt. Still with me? Then they come to bed with boxers on and bring long pajama pants bedside all while fussing they are steaming hot perpetually. It literally was a no brained for me and my sanity when their birthday came around to get them this blanket. I probably looked at and read reviews on about a dozen of these ranging in price points. I read some reviews that were great but I wasn’t sure how much actual truth were behind them and then I read reviews that they just didn’t like the item. The review for this blanket seemed straight forward, honest and ultimately convinced me to give it a try. I’m not going to lie, I am 100 % surprised that my other half like this blanket. I knew I was giving it as. Gift but I was very skeptical. They love it. They use it watching to, sitting at work, and sleeping in bed. I knond of feel bad now I did like most others do and I purchased the smallest size (to test it out). This is a really great quality. It was easily washed and dried on cold and low. It was an excellent value for the money. They get the best cooking effect with using this blanket with the wicking side on their body. The other side has a soft material but the wicking is cooling for them so they use that side. I think it’s supposed to be the other way around though. Not that it matters, like I said, just very happy they like it and if you have someone who is finicky like mine, maybe this can help.

It works. Figured it would stay cool constantly but it doesn't. If you're sleeping and you wake up and you're hot, you know where you're not awake yet. You have to shake the blanket to try to get it to cool down a little bit. It's all right

I am experiencing wild hot flashes at night and wake up just drenched with sweat. I'll kick my covers off and then two minutes later I'm pulling them back on because I like having a blanket over me. Next things I know I'm sweating again. I finally caved and got online and searched for a cooling blanket. After reading reviews I decided to give this one a go. I wish I would have given it a chance months ago. This blanket is SOOOO SOFT. Feels like whoever made it reached up and took a little fluffy cloud from Heaven and wove it up into a soft little blanket just for me. It's super lightweight. I've had it now a few months and haven't spent a single night hot and miserable since. Anytime I feel like I'm getting warm, I simply slide the blanket over a little and it's nice and cool again. This blanket was worth every penny, and I will be buying more in more colors. Has held up in the wash very well. Color hasn't faded. Seems very durable so far. Please don't hesitate to give this a chance. Well worth it.
