Arizona Garage test late spring, Out of the box or after waiting 2 hrs for freon to settle. Blasting cold air as soon as it turned on. Was an easy set up who needs instructions just hook up exhaust and condesation hose and just sit in front and go ahhhhhhh that was easy! Oh and noticing the unit is very quiet just hearing the strong air flow blowing. OK I wanted a way to work in garage and on car during the summer. Today springtime is 100 degree test before insulation it does cool half my garage with help of a fan. After insulating garage door 80 degrees entire garage. My home AC is great but getting old so back up AC could be a life saver in Arizona summer plus it turned my garage extra space into a chill mancave and now my wife she sheded the patio with my swampcooler and it helps the plants grow that keeps patio shaded and cooler. I did not think I needed a coolbus, a chill mancave, a chill patio, peace of mind when AC finally goes out but it is nice to know I have this awesome life upgrade now.

Works well for small rooms. I'm currently using to cool down my small upstairs office which gets very hot in the spring and summer due to my computers putting out extra heat. The unit is only noisy when the compressor kicks on to cool the unit down for the fan to blow cold air, if you need to listen to something, you will need headphones or to turn up the volume to hear it over this unit. The remote and control panel on the unit are very easy to use and understand allowing for easy adjustments for temperature. Airflow is nice out of the front of the unit. However, the exhaust tube and its connections are very poor. You will need actual aluminum duct tape to prevent the tube from coming out of the connectors and to prevent heat from leaking back into the room. The tube shrivels from constant use and comes undone from either the window connector or the unit connector unless properly taped without blocking the vents. You will also need all weather tape to prevent air from leaking back in the window on the window exhaust bar. These were simple enough to do just costs extra money and time to keep the room properly cooled and the unit from having to run forever to cool down the room. The unit has a sleek appearance and easy to read control panel. I do not like the cheap way the exhaust for this is setup and the fact that you'll need two types of tapes to fix this poor design flaw in my opinion. Regardless, I'll use the unit for this year to see if it can take the very hot summers we get here. Hoping it decreases the electric bill and doesn't increase it.

so unpackaging it was a pain in the butt because I was down a hand (injury). and I didn't realize until I was tearing into the box that I could've just lifted up on the box and then picked it up to take the styrofoam off the bottom. A little card of how to take it out of the packaging would be nice but... Setting it up was very easy I mean very very easy! The only thing that was difficult is the dang tube! what I found that worked is I only stretched the very end of it and kept the rest of it compressed and then held it with my legs and screwed it on it kept going on crooked so I resorted to desperate measures lol. once the tube is on though it's pretty sturdy. When you first turn it on it's pretty powerful! I mean the whole machine makes a jolt. and it will cool down a room that is around 83° weather down to 65° in 25 mins. you're able to angle the direction of flow too up down left and right. it claims to be very energy efficient per the yellow sticker, it says it only adds $77 annually. The rating on the website is a bit confusing because one thing says it has one star and then the other one says that the rating is 6.5. I had to resort to a small trashcan next to it to collect the condensation, I started with a water bottle but that filled up insanely quick! There's two options to let it fill up or two have it continuously drain into a bucket or container. I opted to put some type of container by it because the location where I have it is a little bit cramped. I don't really use the nighttime mode where it claims to be quieter, I can sleep through a tornado lol it does have a loud fan like noise and when it's working really hard you hear the compressor shutting on and off and it makes a loud jolt. I got the 8500 one for 300 ft.² my bedroom is around 120 Square (feet i think) paid around 202 usd. With memorial day holiday it got delayed two days but Amazon kept me updated where it was. Another complaint is the window panel piece, I first couldn't even figure it out how to attach it to the hose then I just gave up after I realized it wouldn't even fit in my window. so I resorted to cardboard and just folded it to make it have a seal. No issues with that but if it's raining heavy then I have to take it out. I wish that different sizes were sold instead of just being told well you can cut it in the directions. another thing if you really do not know what you're doing the directions are no help at all! Oh and one thing is I ran it without the tube just to see what would happen and it made my room insanely hot! The tube is definitely needed! And honestly I wish they put it on all dehumidifiers because the one that is in the living room does not have a tube and it makes the house hotter as it removes the moisture. There's three settings fan, Dehumidifier, and AC.

So far so good. I will update again. Installing it was easy, it isn't too heavy. It rolls around to make it easier. It cools fairly quick and it came fast. It is clearly meant for a smaller room not a larger house. It needs a bucket to be drained for the water but it's really solid for 200 dollars. I prefer this over a window unit. Not sure how good the dehumidifier works on this yet. And it isn't much louder than a normal fan on low settings.

Bought this AC for our son, who just moved into his first apartment. He has a room sized 9' by 10'. So the room is small. This AC works perfectly to cool down his small room. At first, he said it wasn't cooling. After reading the directions and making sure he was on the right settings, it is working great. He had a bit of trouble getting the panel with the hose installed in the window. He ended up wrapping a piece of cardboard with duct tape as a shim to bring the panel up to the window level. He also taped around the edges to keep bugs out! He is using a gallon water bottle to collect the water that the AC takes out of the hot air. That makes it easy to empty the water when the bottle fills up. Very pleased with this purchase. The AC is nice and small, looks good, and does the job. I would definitely recommend this product.
