This is a good toaster for the price you pay. Four slots total. Two on each side, so if she likes her two slices of toast darker or lighter than yours, you have one less thing to fight about. The toaster arrives with the dial set to the lowest setting, so if you put bread in and push the lever down, it will instantly pop back up. NO, your toaster is NOT BROKEN, just change the dial setting and voilà! Toast! The biggest selling point for me is that this is JUST A TOASTER. I needed to replace a cranky toaster, picked this one on price the way my family goes through toasters. The toaster works well. The one problem I have is with the power cord, it is not flexible almost as if the conductors are solid wire not stranded.

We purchased this for a lake cottage short term rental that sleeps 8. For that reason it was important to find a 4 slice toaster. Liked the black color to coordinate with cabinet pulls. This is cool touch so was able to plug it into the pantry and leave there, so as not to have on the counter.

The toaster seemed great until I used it. Most toasters I set to around a 3 to get a lightly toasted piece of toast. This one came out black. Tried a 2, same results, tried a 1, didn't toast it, tried at 1.5, burnt it half the time and didn't toast it the other half. Wasted a whole loaf of bread burning it trying to get this thing to work right. Decided out 2 piece toaster was more worth the extra time it takes to make more toast for the family. To be fair despite poor results I still used this for two weeks and just watched the bread closely. Hoping maybe it would find a sweet spot. I think this is a case of “you get what you pay for” and I didn’t pay that much. The entire toaster case is plastic. That is worrisome at best. There was a sticker located on the side of the toaster body and when it was removed, left a large spot of glue. I have tried removing the glue to no avail. The biggest issue with this toaster, it isn’t big enough for most bread slices. We typically buy Brownberry or Pepperidge Farms bread and neither fit the toaster.
