Bolted on back of w900 kenworth , used 3/4 ply wood inside of Frame then rubber floor mat on top of that, drilled holes though the bottom of tool box and bolted it down useing 3/8 bolts. Box arrived well packaged. Lid shocks are heavy duty and work extremely well. Box itself seems well built, today is first day of use so far only issue is lid will pop open , I adjusted latch bolt and even locked the box and it still pops open, I can't beat it on with my hand and get it to pop open but about everytime i get on the highway I look back and it's open. So for now I got strap over it that way when it pops open rubber strap won't let it. I will fix it some how in future that's the reason for the 4 stars and it may just be the box I got that latch is welded a little off are the spring in latch is weak ether way account of that it's more of a 150$ box in my opinion, 200$ lid should stay shut with out me having to fabricate something in future to make it work but If you have a day cab semi truck and your passanger floor board is full of stuff this little box is perfect to put all that stuff in and simple to install like I described above with ether ply wood are 2x4s inside the frame that way when you bolt it, it pulls the box down tight and pulls the ply wood tight up against inside of truck frame, add the rubber under the box to keep it from over time rubbing a hole in box and keeps the box quite instead of being bolted directly on top of frame. Just keep in mind latch may be weak????

This is a nice aluminum heavy duty box I got for my ford ranger pickup. It’s well made sturdy, and locks! I did bolt it to my pickup bead, to secure it. The price is great!

Over all good quality aluminum box but the paint job looked like someone waved a dripping paint brush all over the box. The lid was dinted on one corner but the box it came in was perfect. It must have been packaged this way. Do to time constraints I don’t have time to return it for a new box before my trip that I’m needing it on. I bought one these boxes a couple years ago for another trailer and it’s held up great. Do note that the side handles and hardware will rust over time as they did on mine. I like the box and would give a higher star review if the seller will give me a scratch and dent discount on it.

I wanted a lightweight but strong parts box to be used in my enclosed trailers; I had some longer tools that wouldn't fit in the pre-made boxes. I added some E-track brackets on the back of this box that were long enough to allow the top to open when mounted (added spacer between the back of the box and the mounts). I also added a spacer in the back center to ensure it stayed vertical when mounted. I can keep it in one trailer, then when I need these tools, simply remove it from the track and put it in my other trailer. The box is a decent weight aluminum, and it has two sturdy handles (one on each end) which make it easy to carry even with moderately heavy loads. My tools and small parts stay clean and protected and allow me easy access.

I mounted this to the tongue of my farm trailer. It keeps all of my straps, chains, and binders neat and within quick access. It also keeps my straps clean and dry as to prevent any mold or rust on my chains. It is small enough to get in the way or hinder any use of the trailer, yet still large enough to keep anything that I need.

This is a sturdy, well made metal storage box. The lid fits the box perfectly and has a seal or gasket around the inner edge. I wish the seal was a little wider but I'm hopeful that it will keep dust and water out of the box. I haven't driven miles in a rainstorm though, so that feature is still untested. The pair of gas shocks snap open the lid as soon as it's unlatched with more speed and force than necessary. I'm deducting a rating star because the lid opens so fast it's not only bothersome but could cause an unsuspecting person harm. The handles on each end are spring-loaded so that they snap closed as soon as you loosen your grip on them. Like the shocks, the action is really stronger than need be. Although these automatic lid and handle actions are probably intended to be convenience features, I consider them unnecessary additions that just create possible points of failure. After all, I can hold a lid open, or prop it open, and I can let go of a handle and let gravity do the work of letting it drop to the side of the box. I don't need added hardware to do those things. The lid latch and lock appear good quality and sturdy. I haven't tried to get extra keys made, so don't know if that style of key is readily available or not. I will be mounting this cargo box on the roof rack of a small cargo van (Nissan NV200) that I am in the process of converting to a microcamper van. This will add some much needed storage space to the van. I will simply drill holes in the bottom of the box and bolt it to the rack. Although I have pointed out a few minor things that might seem negative, I still think that overall this is a really nice storage box that should last a long time.
