edit: wrote original review at Nov 30 2012. It's now Sept 25 2013. After occasional use since then, this trimmer has slowed down considerably - after a few times of it not turning on at all. I'm thinking of just getting another one, it's definitely worth the price. Works just as good as the previous model: Conair GMT10CS Rechargeable Beard and Mustache Trimmer, Black. Loved the last one: perfect for quick trimming. Here's my review from that page: "This trimmer simply works. Doesn't take long to charge, it's lightweight, and it trims great. Not really for use on anything super thick, but gets the job done in most cases. I've never been disappointed with this trimmer, and have been using it sparingly over a year now. Of course if you drop this a far distance it will break. I have not had this problem, but don't really expect it to be the most sturdy thing I've ever bought. It's not meant to be. I still love it though, just have to be a bit careful with it. Definitely would (and will if necessary) purchase this again. So easy and stress-free compared to shaving." This one works just the same. Honestly I'm not sure what they changed except for the fact that this one is blue, I only bought the newer one because I needed an extra and this one was cheaper.

I purchased this particular Conair all-in-one as a replacement for the same type model I bought nearly a decade ago. This one is just as high quality and works great, all without an excessive price tag just to trim some facial hair. The *ONLY* thing missing is a stand. Fortunately my previous one came with a stand and this one fits perfectly as does the charging cable (through the bottom) so it's always ready. Without the stand though it'd be an odd / difficult device to store in the bathroom, taking up WAY too much space on a sink or shelf for sure. Otherwise it's a great product, great price. Used my last one every week for almost 10 years...fingers crossed I'll get the same from this one!

Stand 'set up' instructions poor. Because of design, it's hard to determine which accessories go (and fit) where on stand. Even when I figured out what went where, they didn't fit properly. The instruction sheet picture quality is not good. In order to get a good picture of the stand with all accessories on it, I had to go to conair.com and blow up the picture from the instruction sheet. The Bad: Storage/Charging Stand. Unlike previous Conair multi-trimmers (over prior 18 years I've owned 2), this stand is poorly designed and manufactured. The base should be weighted; it's not. Parts and accessories should fit securely; they don't. Stand should hold parts and accessories as if they were designed as a system; it doesn't. Except for the trimmer body itself, the big beard guide and the oil tube, none of the other accessories really fit the stand properly. If you try to move the filled stand, 2 or 3 items will fall out every time you try to move it. Very poor design. Changing Heads. This could be a little better but isn't really 'bad.' Read the instructions, and you'll find removing the main head isn't very difficult. The [very minor] problem comes in putting the other heads on. Be sure the white 'drive pin' from the trimmer body is aligned with, and fits into the white plastic tube in the attachment before you apply pressure to secure the new head. If you don't, it appears you could risk damaging the plastic components. Fortunately, it gets much better from here. The Good: Trimmer body and accessories. Good RPMs on motor. It does a good job trimming and doesn't seem to bog down in thick or wiry hair. The nose/ear attachment could be just a little longer to reach inside ear/nose. But even as is, the reach is adequate and it does a very decent job, although the cutting tip gets a little warm with prolonged use. The mini- detailing head is great for working around areas of the face with little clearance, and removes hairs well. The shaving foil works well on small areas for clean-ups, but is definitely not intended for full face shaves. Haven't used all the guides and combs, but those I have appear to do what they're intended to do, and satisfactorily. Haven't tried it for bikini type trims, but appears it will do the job, as well. All in all, and excepting the 'charging' stand, it met all my expectations from previous Conairs I've owned. I'd have rated 5* if the stand wasn't so poor.

I bought this to take the place of my 21 yr old battery operated Conair trimmers. They had started plucking hairs instead of trimming. Well, 21 years is a good life to live. BUT, the 'boys' didn't like hairs being plucked, so had to get a new set. The new set isn't quite sure what it's doing down there yet, but it's learning... and doing a great job.
