I bought this brush to try to copy a large pink one I’ve had for years. It’s a little bit smaller but still a medium sized brush. I have a set of 4 cute girly ‘detangler’ unicorn brushes I got for my daughter, but they would leave scratch marks on her neck after I brushed her hair and they hurt my head (felt sharp) to use them. I usually can't use other brushes because my hair is really long and thick, and when I use other brushes, especially cushioned paddle brushes, my hair ends up causing the brush to fall apart. I had to get a new brush after the one I had been using since 2018 finally started losing bristles, and I was happy to find the same ones. They're built well and they're easy to hold. They definitely can handle my thick and longer than butt length hair, and they aren't super expensive. ... show more

Have used Conair gel grip hair brushes for a number of years and am always pleased with their performance. I have very fine (and easily tangled!) hair and the bristles are firm enough to brush without being stiff, spikey, and painful. The gel hand grip is comfortable, especially since I suffer from carpal tunnel and gripping/grasping things can be uncomfortable and sometimes downright painful. Wish the price was less expensive, but they are certainly no more expensive than any other brush on the market. Only thing that keeps them from getting 5 stars is that I don't get to pick what color I get and instead have to just take whatever color they send. I've been a fan of gel handles forever. I got a silver one this time! Love it! Durability: Pretty durable. I had my last one for 5 years. (Yes, I cleaned it periodically. I'm not a dodo.) Works well: Brushes well for various lengths.

I used a smaller conair brush by Claire’s for YEARS and LOVED it. It lost its little tips as tine went on and off as sad to have to shop for a new brush. I found this one and it’s great! The only thing I don’t like about it is how big it is. Can’t seem to find a gel handle hairbrush that safely goes through my hair but that also is on the smaller side like my old brush. My old Conair brush finally bit the dust and I ordered another one. It works really well, untangling hair quickly without pulling. I like the design with the gel grip handle as it is comfortable to hold.
