The ANRABESS oversized sweater coat is way nicer than I’d expected. It’s made from a crazy thick & soft yarn that makes it incredibly comfortable & warm. I was totally shocked at how thick this sweater coat actually is. Depending on where you live, this could possibly work as your winter coat & with the oversized fit you can wear it with multiple layers underneath. I absolutely love the styling of this coat, the lapels give it a trench coat vibe & they look great. Unfortunately it’s hard to keep the lapels folded back & laying as they should on their own. I think the issue with the lapels comes from the fact that it’s hard to get a crease & a true fold in the thick sweater material coupled with the fact that in order to button the buttons the lapels have to unfold at the bottom, which in turn unfold the rest of it all the way to the top. I love the look of the lapels so I’m trying to come up with a way to always keep them folded down. I haven’t completely solved this issue yet, but I’m hoping a few well placed & unnoticeable safety pins will do the trick. It would probably have been better if the buttons were placed differently, maybe underneath or on the opposite side than they are now, so closing them didn’t disrupt how the lapels lay. I also think this sweater coat would look cute with a belt, so I’ll probably add a removable one despite the fact that there are already 2 buttons. I’m normally a medium, so after looking at the measurements on the size chart, I decided on a medium although I think a small would’ve probably fit better now that I’ve actually put the coat on. With that said, I think this runs a bit large, but it’s meant to be oversized. I think I just would prefer this to be a little less oversized, although I’ll probably be glad it’s larger when it’s colder outside & I want to be able to wear layers underneath it. I also think the models coat has been sized down based on the pictures but I can’t be sure. So, if you want the true to size, oversized fit, order your normal size. If you want it a little less oversized fit closer to the model pictures then I’d say size down, but remember you probably won’t be able to layer under it. All in all this is a really great sweater coat, I took 1 Star off bc of the issue with the lapels bc to me they are a really important part of the coat as far as the design is concerned. But this is still a really well made & very nice, soft, comfortable & unique sweater coat & I like it a lot. I would definitely recommend this coat & I find the $41 price to be extremely fair for this truly nice, thick, soft & comfortable sweater coat.
