  • Heavy duty!
Size: 36inch
OK so I have never had one of these fire pit rings before, but I can tell you this appears to be a very heavy duty item. It's not a fancy fire ring, but it will serve it's purpose well. Be warned this thing is HEAVY! LOL My back has been killing me since it was delivered yesterday and I carried it inside. Not having one of these before I had nothing to compare it to, so just really had no idea how heavy it was going to be LOL. We have one of the round above ground fire pits that sits on a stand, has a grill grate you can put on it and a dome wire screen lid. I have never moved it as my mom already had it set up before I moved here. I like it on the one hand as we have a lot of trees that branches fall off of, squirrels chew branches off, storms break branches... So I use it to burn the brush debris. But it is annoying on the other hand as I do not think it is deep enough. So I'm thinking I can put this fire ring on top of it as I measured for the size and it should sit fine. This will make it a deeper fire pot pit and be safer I think. I always have the hose handy when I burn in it in case something falls out. So I think this will last as it is heavy duty. You could use this with an RV/camper, but if you are hiking in somewhere and plan on doing tent camping you would not really want to lug this thing along LOL. Now if you had a permanent campsite set up it would be ok to get it there, set up and leave it. You can dig a pit and sit this down into it or keep it sitting up top on the ground, you could stack proper rocks down in and around it or use manufactured decorative concrete blocks... The box was a bit beat up, but not surprised due to the weight of this item and it did not seem to me parts were securely packed so shifted around during shipping. If there are any scratches on it I'm not worried, you can always get high heat spray paint and touch it up if you are worried about it. The thing is made to endure high heat of a fire and sitting outside in the weather. I think the price is a bit high. But I have seen higher and lower prices for similar items. But I'm not sure how heavy duty/weight wise this compares to others. But if you want this type of fire ring I do not think you can go wrong with it. As always I only do honest reviews and will update if needed. I hope this help you make the best choices you can on how to spend your $. ... show more

  • Overall good product...
Size: 31inch
The only complaint I have is it is a little on the thin side. It just needs to be a thicker material.

  • This fire ring is perfect for our patio area!
Size: 36inch
This fire ring is perfect for our patio area out back where we like to entertain friends and grill out year round! We've got tons of wood out back and with our awesome new firing I can just throw some wood out there on the fire without worrying about Sparks and hot colds rolling around and starting a fire especially this time of year when the leaves are falling. Another thing I don't have to worry about is the burn band going on right now as long as I have the fire contained it's within the limitations of the law. And it looks so much nicer and it keeps the area so much cleaner when you've got it contained with a heavy duty well made fire ring like this one. It's 36 in wide which is perfect because I don't need a fire pit any wider than 3 ft around. It's a piece of cake to put this together I actually had it put together without instructions in about 10 minutes. This is great for anyone who enjoys having a contained fire at home to entertain friends, have a romantic night by the fire with a glass of wine, or to have the kids or grandkids out back to roast marshmallows and hot dogs! We actually have a great that we were able to put over the top and cooked hamburgers last night and they were amazing! ... show more

  • Very well made
Size: 36inch
I am really impressed with the well built construction of this fire pit. It was heavier than I expected but tells me it is made with good material. I also like how portable it is and we are looking forward to taking it with us when we camp. Right now we are using it in a small alcove area outside our back door to be able to enjoy a fire during the winter months. Being portable I can pack it away when the snow decides to fly. Small enough to enjoy the beauty of an outside fire and large enough for the family to enjoy. ... show more

  • Better price than others. Heavy duty but don't trust the powder coating.
Size: 36inch
This is my second fire ring. First one was a 31 inch inner diameter fire ring, and this one is a 36 inch inner diameter fire ring. The brand Commzinn is selling the same product as other sellers, but I will say that their listed price ($75) is $5 cheaper than the AnnBaiMei seller's 36" ID ring ($80) which is who I got my 31 inch ID ring from. On top of that, Commzinn is offering another $5 coupon on top of that (making it $70) which makes it an extra good deal. I'm showing a picture of what the metal will look like after a couple of fires. The "powder coating" is questionable and bubbled up after one fire and flaked after two. You could try an automotive high heat spray and that might work, but I haven't tried it yet. This is something to consider if you want a "pretty" fire pit during the daytime when there is no fire going. Though, perhaps if this is being used with a gas fire where the fire isn't touching the sides from burning wood, maybe it wouldn't be as bad. This is getting four stars because, at this price point, I can almost guarantee all fire rings are going to bubble and flake. But the metal is thick, it's easy to put together and install, and it is an amazing quality of life improvement for fires (before we were using a cut bottom of a metal trash can which was SOOOOO much smaller.) It's also cheaper by $5-10 than the other seller I've bought basically the same but smaller firepit ring from. So I do think it deserves four stars. Tips: Also, something to keep in mind is that if you have the ring above ground but not surrounded by anything, it is slightly wobbly. I could see, even as heavy as this is, if a log leaned on one side and not the other, it could possibly flip the ring (I'll try to remember to experiment with this with an unlit log and try to update later.) Having it in the ground, or surrounded by bricks aboveground are the better ideas. Other than that, if you have it in the ground, dig a few extra inches. I believe I have my pit 4-5" below the 8" of the fire ring. Two reasons for this: 1. Less need to clean it out after every big fire if you're worried about the burnt wood and ashes getting too high, but more importantly 2. Putting out the fire at the end of the night with a hose you don't want your fire ring to be in contact with a puddle of water that is slow to dry, as I assume rust would be an issue over time. No need to hasten that. A couple of extra tips: In my picture I have a decorative fire ring. This one is fine and I like it but it doesn't have mesh to help limit sparks from the fire. So if you get a decorative ring to go over your in-ground fire ring, look for one with mesh if you are worried about sparks. And if you're using this in very cold climates, you'll want to also get a fire pit heat deflector (or make one.) Having a fire in this at maybe 50* and above was comfortable, but we've had a fire in this pit on a colder night and we had to bundle up or get a lot closer. I am hoping with a heat deflector to send all that heat that goes straight up, to go out to the sides and have a better chance of warming myself and guests. ... show more
