The media could not be loaded. Prior to finding this monitor light, I was using a desk lamp with an adjustable arm. Over time, the adjustable arm of this light wasn't holding very well, and it would sometimes fall down to the desk. It was all I had, so I dealt with it. When I found this monitor light strictly by chance, I had to try it. I included pictures of my old method of lighting and the lighting with this monitor light. I immediately loved the options, the USB powering, and the adjust ability, but the bracket didn't expand enough for my monitor. I have a Dell XPS 2720 all-in-one that has a monitor wider than the average monitor. I was determined to make this light work even though the bracket didn't fit over the monitor. I did finally get it to stick to the top of the monitor, and after 3 days it is still sticking. What I really love about this monitor light is: 1 - It is USB powered and goes on when my computer is turned on. I don't need to plug it into an A/C outlet. 2 - The temperature of the light can be selected with the attached controller - warm, cool, or natural. I prefer the natural. 3 - You can also select one of the 10 brightness modes. I prefer the brightest, at least right now. 4- The light includes an adjustable bracket that will work for most monitors. It has a sticky backing to hold it in place. The bracket doesn't open wide enough for my all-in-one, but the sticky bracket does hold it in place. Picture included to show placement. 5 - The arm of the bracket allows of adjustment of the lighting so it can be adjusted toward or away from the screen to light more or less of your desk top 6 - The attached controller is convenient to use even if you attach the light to a USB port on the back of your monitor. I have had this monitor light only a few days, but I couldn't be happier with it, and would highly recommend it if you have a need for a monitor/desk light. UPDATE 2/18/21: I have been using this monitor light for about 9 months, and I still love it. I recently found out I have cataracts and need brighter light to see. This light lights up my desktop and monitor making it easier to see them. It also adds lighting to my keyboard which is very helpful. If this light ever stops working, I would definitely buy another one. I really couldn't be happier with this monitor light. UPDATE 01/14/22: I have had this light for almost 2 years and it's still going strong. This light provides lighting where I need it and doesn't require any space on my desk. Since it is plugged into a USB port on my computer, it automatically goes on when I turn my computer on. If this light ever fails, I will definitely buy another one. If you do all your work in a brightly lit room, you won't have any need for this nifty add-on. But when the room gets dark, and you want to see your keyboard, or a nearby book to its left or right, this handy light will make all the difference. A slender LED light-bar clamps on to the top of your monitor. Touch a button on its cord-mounted power switch, and it turns on. (Other buttons on the switch control brightness and color temperature: warm, cool, or mixed). Voilà, your keyboard or book is illuminated with the color and intensity of light of your choice. And the neat part is that there is no glare on the screen. All the light is aimed downward, away from the screen. The power comes from a USB port of your choosing. (I use one that's built into my surge-protector, but if you've got a spare on your PC, you may use that instead.) So no batteries or wall current are required. The unit is well-made and cleverly designed. It is also easy to install, once you figure out that the connection between the two parts of the device (the clamp that holds the light-bar and the part that sits behind the monitor) is spring-loaded. You just pull them apart, allow the gap between them to settle on the top of the monitor, and release. The unit thus automatically fits itself to the monitor, no matter the exact thickness of the flat screen, and a sticky pad helps the unit to stay securely in place on the back of the monitor. Unfortunately, the printed instructions that come with the device make no mention of this spring-loaded feature, so unless you stumble across it, as I did, you may find the installation frustrating. (I hope that Lofter comes up with a new set of instructions that make this clearer.) Once it's installed, you can forget about it. It just sits there unobtrusively, ready to be turned on when you need it. All in all, it's a very well made and very handy product, that will enable you to work conveniently at night without requiring the use of any room lights.
