    • Good light, some slight design/instruction flaws
I just received the light yesterday and used it for the first time last night. It does exactly what I need it to do and the multiple settings provide different comfort levels depending on the surrounding light. My primary complaint is it doesn't include instructions on how the 3M tape and foam bumpers are supposed to be used. I'm pretty sure I can figure it out, but it would have been nice to include at least something with the small package, of tape and bumpers, showing where they are supposed to go and how they are intended to work. As for now, my light leans down towards the screen, as the weight of the light is not offset by the weigt of the clamp. It's annoying but not a deal killer as it happens slowly over the course of a few hours. Overall though the construction feels solid and am looking forward to using this while my family is sleeping and I won't have to turn on the overhead light to see at my desk. I will look to update in six months or if something major changes. ... show more

I love everything about this light from the three different settings to the adjustment of the light power. It’s a gray light, but the mount on the back of your computer screen is weak. I had to use duct tape and thank God. I don’t see the back of my computer screen at my desk so I don’t know, how jury rigged it is Still it’s an excellent excellent why I can’t believe I went without it for so long ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Prior to finding this monitor light, I was using a desk lamp with an adjustable arm. Over time, the adjustable arm of this light wasn't holding very well, and it would sometimes fall down to the desk. It was all I had, so I dealt with it. When I found this monitor light strictly by chance, I had to try it. I included pictures of my old method of lighting and the lighting with this monitor light. I immediately loved the options, the USB powering, and the adjust ability, but the bracket didn't expand enough for my monitor. I have a Dell XPS 2720 all-in-one that has a monitor wider than the average monitor. I was determined to make this light work even though the bracket didn't fit over the monitor. I did finally get it to stick to the top of the monitor, and after 3 days it is still sticking. What I really love about this monitor light is: 1 - It is USB powered and goes on when my computer is turned on. I don't need to plug it into an A/C outlet. 2 - The temperature of the light can be selected with the attached controller - warm, cool, or natural. I prefer the natural. 3 - You can also select one of the 10 brightness modes. I prefer the brightest, at least right now. 4- The light includes an adjustable bracket that will work for most monitors. It has a sticky backing to hold it in place. The bracket doesn't open wide enough for my all-in-one, but the sticky bracket does hold it in place. Picture included to show placement. 5 - The arm of the bracket allows of adjustment of the lighting so it can be adjusted toward or away from the screen to light more or less of your desk top 6 - The attached controller is convenient to use even if you attach the light to a USB port on the back of your monitor. I have had this monitor light only a few days, but I couldn't be happier with it, and would highly recommend it if you have a need for a monitor/desk light. UPDATE 2/18/21: I have been using this monitor light for about 9 months, and I still love it. I recently found out I have cataracts and need brighter light to see. This light lights up my desktop and monitor making it easier to see them. It also adds lighting to my keyboard which is very helpful. If this light ever stops working, I would definitely buy another one. I really couldn't be happier with this monitor light. UPDATE 01/14/22: I have had this light for almost 2 years and it's still going strong. This light provides lighting where I need it and doesn't require any space on my desk. Since it is plugged into a USB port on my computer, it automatically goes on when I turn my computer on. If this light ever fails, I will definitely buy another one. You take it out of the box and in 5 minutes you've got it up and going--that's all there is to it. It's extremely inexpensive--the cheapest of all on offer the day I ordered--and yet one of the most versatile. Color temperature and brightness are readily adjustable, and the parts go together easily and snap solidly into place. Power cord is plenty long enough and the switches respond with firm clicks, not the kind mushy, spongy fell common to cheap construction. The only thing to look out for is this: does your monitors have a flat space at the top of the back: about 1-1/2 x 2-1/2 will allow the mounting spring clamp to grab firmly. My monitor is a Dell; uits curved back goes all the way on all sides, so I had to find a different way to mount it. After that, all fine. ... show more
