I'd been considering a monitor desk light for some time now, but I could not justify the price tag giong as high as $200 on the BenQ "original" that sorta started it off with these types of lights. This was a couple years ago now and clearly today there are many different versions of similar monitor lights on the market, the Quntis being among them, and which appears to be a fairly close copy of the BenQ light. I found this one on Amazon, priced around $40 for the non-remote (remote being rather superfluous in my opinion) version and did a little comparison research to see if this might be a good fit. There are many similar monitor lights out there, some cheaper and going as low as ~$25 and some obviously more expensive. I figured the Quntis was a good middle ground price-wise and took a shot to see if this would fit the bill. Indeed it does! Whether or not, or how close a copy to the BenQ the Quntis is I don't know for sure, as I've never seen the alternatives, but I can say this one is very well designed and well constructed, some plastic and also some metal in the construction and on close inspection the quality is definitely there. The mounting system is simple and functional and adapted perfectly to my HP Omen gaming monitor, which I would say has a somewhat non-standard profile shape and thickness, at least at the top where the light mounts. No problem, the mount is easily adjustable and rests perfectly and securely on my top monitor edge with full confidence that it's not going anywhere, or is any way unstable or wonky. The light controls on top of the light are easily accessible, operated by touch and the tactile "buttons" are shaped so they can be easily felt when operating the light. There are stepless controls for brightness and color temperature, as well as a sort of "auto" button that adjusts the brightness based on the ambient light in the room, which is nice. The lightbar throws a very nice pool of light on your keyboard and desk space in front of, and not directly ON, your monitor - right where you need it - without any glare, or being too harsh. Again, the quality, brightness and temperature of the light is easily adjustable to your liking. The monitor mounting system is sensible, simple, highly adjustable and highly functional. Lamp is powered by USB and in my case plugs right into a USB port on my monitor and totally invisible, hidden behind. Anyway, I guess I might have got a little carried away with this review, but tldr; the Quntis is an excellent monitor light and if this is something you've been looking at, I don't think you can go wrong with this one. ... show more

This cool monitor lamp is a welcome addition to my room. It lights just the area needed. I used to work with just a meager backlit keyboard and a nightstand light that lit up the whole room. This over-the-monitor light bar changed it all and gives a nice sense of comfort and space. Bye bye to the nightstand light. The monitor bar light is very comfortable for the eyes. It has a switch for 4 colors of lights to choose from and all are adjustable in brightness to one's need or automatically controlled by the sensor. I prefer the manual brightness the sensor control is just too bright for my taste. I love the touch switches. Easy to install and sits firmly on the thin monitor border and doesn't use any screen real estate. It swivels up or down for a large or tight light spread. No monitor glares!!! You might have to look for ways to tuc away the C-cable as there is no guide. On top of it all it fits snuggly next to my webcam without any lens interference guaranteeing good lighting when conferencing. (note: 20" wide monitor) No need for webcam light rings. I think it even could be used on a bed headboard for reading. No regrets about purchasing this light bar, highly recommended. Good luck ... show more

I love this light! I didn’t want a lamp that lights the whole room but doesn’t provide light where you need or want it without being too bright or casting shadows. This light is perfect! It mounts over the monitor and lights up the desk surface where I’m working without the light blaring into my eyes. I can adjust the light temperature and the brightness.
