This gate is perfect if you have a dog and a cat.s like my daughter. It was easy to assemble and fit her kitchen doorway so nicely. She has a pitwieller doggy thats like boxer height. And it is so sturdy, her dog can't knock it out. The latch works well and is easy to open and close. The thing she loves most is the cat door at bottom. Her cats took right to it and went thru so they can go everywhere they want!..including the doggy room which use to be there's;) You can position the cat door to the ht. you want and it stays put at that level. It is def. tall enough for all dog sizes. We were so glad my daughter went w/this gate instead of a cage/crate option for her doggy, her being pretty big and came from the shelter so really didnt want her stuck in a cage like before, when her mommys at work. Its also handy to put your pets behind gate when ya wanna eat in peace...the white is very pretty in her kitchen and looks nice. The dog can't push the cat door up w/its nose either, it's sturdy too. It's just a really good product.

good quality gate

gate works as it should. it looks just as pictured. it’s durable and sturdy. the assembly was made incredibly simple and took about 10 minutes to get set up. size is perfect for my large dogs to keep separate from my cat for a portion of the day. the door swings either way which was nice. and the hole is small enough for my small dog and cat, but still too small for my larger dogs to crawl through. it’s worth the money to get a good quality product. 😎

Absolutely perfect for apartments

This is exactly what I needed. I live in an apartment complex and since they never have screen doors, I had to make my own. Got the magnetic mesh screen to keep the bugs out and got the gate to keep my cats in. The gate was super easy to assemble. It took me about 20 minutes and I did it by myself. (No man needed lol) It’s sturdy and unlike other reviews I’ve seen for other gates similar to this one, the latch and lock do not seem like they’ll break. One thing I wasn’t expecting, is that the magnets on the screen connect to the gate. It gives it a very put together, clean look. The other thing that sold me on this one instead of any of the other ones, is the gate door is wider than most. I don’t have to turn sideways to walk in. I’m 5’8” 190lbs. I highly recommend this product to my fellow apartment peeps that have animals.

Solid pet gate, but may need some workarounds.

This pet gate is solid. I have purchased two of these at different occasions in the past month. Both of them arrived when they said they would. They were shipped with UPS. I have had no issues with product quality. It is sturdy, easy to install, not easily pushed, reasonably priced, and my cats can't jump over it. (I am currently introducing a new kitten.) Not that it is without it's flaws. My first complaint is that there is no wiggle room in between setups. For example, the width of my hall is 35 inches. The setup that I need stops at 35 inches and the next one starts at 35 inches. Therefore, the one setup is way too tight and I can't fit it into the space, and the other setup is way too loose and I have to use something in between the wall and the brace in order to make it fit. I actually had this problem in both places where I needed the gates. Both have different measurements. Also, if you are wanting to use this for a kitten or puppy there is one opening (right at the gate swing) where they could get their head stuck. I ended up bending a piece of cardboard and taping it on either side so my kitten couldn't put her head through it. Otherwise, I'm happy with my purchases and if I ever need more pet gates, I will buy another one of these.

Sturdy and effective

In general, this is a great item and we've purchased two. Sturdy, easy to install, does what it's supposed to. Only two things knock it down a star. First, our cat was able to scale it, so we had to buy a further extension for the top of the gate. Second, because the door swings both ways, you have to get it in exactly the right place to close the locking mechanism, which can be a pain if your on a hurry. However, we found a fix for this. The closing lever was getting sticky on ours so we greased it up with a silicone spray. It's now so smooth that it automatically lifts and clamps down on the door when you shut it. Overall, a good buy that keeps the peace in our house!

Finally cat free rooms up

Extremely pleased. I FINALLY found the perfect answer to keep my cats out of the top floor bedrooms and the need for them to use a litter box OR NOT. I placed the gate at the bottom of the stairs. They are unable to climb it yet I can easily open and close it. Ty!Ty!

We Love this gate! We have taken in a stray cat but have 3 big dogs who are not familiar with cats. Before, I had to work from outside the door to the cat's space to block their entrance to the room. This gate is so easy to access the room where the cat has his perch, litter box and extra food available. It gives him a safe retreat when he hears the dogs, without anyone's intervention. The small pet access gate, which is adjustable to 4 sizes I think, works perfectly for our cat. I love that I don't have to worry about Twix and I don't have to spend 10 minutes manipulating some heavy items in place behind the door to keep him safe. Not a great photo but you can get an idea of what it looks like. I am 5'2" tall, about 2 " taller than the gate. The part that may look like a lock is actually the part that holds the gate closed. just lift that and the door will swing either direction. There is a small "hook" that slides into place so the door cannot be opened - like by one of our big dogs. You can see the small animal gate at the bottom. It is set at the middle of the opening.

Ok so when buying on Amazon I always go to reviews. I’m not sure why is there is anything less than five stars. This gate is amazing it fits just about in any doorway or hallway. It’s perfect to separate our cats and the cat door is sturdy as well and the whole gate. Easy easy assembly and can can be moved at anytime. Opening and closing the gate is easy. The floor piece helps set it in place and keeps it standing up straight.
