I think the key to safely using space heaters is to follow the manufacturer's directions, keep the heater on the lowest setting, plug the cord directly into a wall socket not a surge protector strip, check the cord every half hour to an hour, don't fall asleep when using it, stay in the room when it's on, and keep it unplugged when not in use. This one is small but powerful, can be safely carried from room to room, and it automaticcally shuts off if it is moved or tips over. It's an energy saver too and not too noisy. Today is the last day that my family will ever be using a space heater. If you know us then you know that Nick and the rest of the kiddos are always cold even with the house set to 72.(Layne and Mommy always hot and sweaty) Ever since the pandemic started we got Nick a small space heater for under his desk while working at home. -It worked great, it stopped working unexpectedly but the company sent us a replacement no problem. -It turns off if it's tipped over, it doesn't get hot to the touch and it's small. -We actually got a second one at some point ... I am sharing this not to bash the company but because I am feeling obligated in case any of you have this item in your home. It was warm and toasty on a third level so I unplugged the space heater to discover this. If I did not work from home or did not unplug this this morning I 100% think my family, animals and home could have paid the price😪 ... show more

It runs Colder than expected but is still a heater, it's built well and I accidentally knocked it onto my cement floor and it didn't break. It's small and fits easily on a bedside table. I accidentally shorted a cicut with it so it takes more nervy than expected hut I also live in a very old house. It's Functions well it's energy efficient for new houses and I use it for school. you really won't get burned by this heater. It's lightweight, no offensive lingering odor as some fans have when new. Do expect a modest amount to start but dissipates very quickly! I'm very happy with this heater.
