  • Keeps my cat from peeing outside of his litter box
Size: Single Pack
We were cat-sitting a kitten for a few months. After the first couple of weeks, our cat started peeing on the floor by my side of the bed. And this was not an ordinary amount of pee, it was a large amount, as though he had been holding it in. The first few times, I thought he was just being ornery, since he has peed outside of his litter box in the past. Usually, our roommate takes the blame, saying that he needed to clean out his litter box. However, since the kitten had started using our cat's litter box despite having his own, our roommate has been cleaning the litter box daily. I also noticed that the kitten would try to mess with our cat while he was using the litter box. Eventually, we put 2 and 2 together and figured it was due to the kitten that he kept peeing on the floor instead of in his litter box. I tried finding something that would help the situation and came across this collar. While he had the collar on, there would be no accidents. I noticed that, sometimes, it would somehow loosen around his neck, so I would retighten it as needed. At one point, however, he managed to get it off and hide it somewhere we couldn't find it. During this time of having no collar, he peed outside of his litter box again. We bought replacement collars and the only time he had an accident was when we needed to buy more litter. The kitten is gone now, but I will be continuing to use the collar on our cat to hopefully prevent future mishaps. ... show more

  • Helped my aggressive male cat in addition to other steps
Size: 4 Pack
I am sharing this because of a review I read about an established male aggressor/bully and a new younger female cat that gave me hope, in case this helps anyone. I have a very rambunctious male cat who grew up a single kitten and with dogs. He had single kitten syndrome and could become aggressive with the dogs and with people (never learned that biting and scratching hurts from playing with other kittens). Earlier this year I adopted a younger female cat so he would have a friend, because we no longer lived with dogs and he needed a playmate. I introduced them slowly and followed Jackson Galaxy’s tips for introducing cats. I bought these for my male cat to wear because it wasn’t going well and he would be very rough and aggressive with the new cat who is very laid back. This stage can be frustrating, scary and feel hopeless but it’s super important to avoid the “stare down” and to avoid letting them fight (watch Jackson Galaxy’s YouTube videos). I couldn’t be certain if the collars worked at the time but I was willing to try, so male cat wore one indefinitely. We did the intro and our visits got longer and longer after 6-8 weeks they could coexist and play and I could leave them alone at home when I left without fear of male cat hurting new baby girl cat. They became friends. Fast forward to moving to a new apartment 3.5 months after adopting new kitty. Male cat was wearing one of these that he had had on for a month or so. No way did I think it was still working if it ever did so I removed it after being in the place for 2 weeks. The cats had been playing like they always did (play wrestling but no ears back or anything more than playful biting etc.) and seemed to be adjusting fine. Then over the next week or so I seemed to have to start breaking them up. My male cat was becoming more frequently aggressive to the younger female cat. It got to the point where every single time he saw her he would put his ears back, stare her down from a distance before launching at her, body slamming her, biting and kicking before I realized they were no longer having positive interactions and my younger cat was becoming afraid of him. I said enough is enough and I separated them and decided I would reintroduce them like Jackson Galaxy recommends. I separated them for 1 full day and got a second litter box again. Admittedly I thought I could get away with only 1 for a short time while settling into the new place but this was clearly not a good idea. In the meantime I put the old calming collar back on my male cat and ordered new ones for overnight shipping. Male cat has had a new collar on for 36 hours and they are back to coexisting and playing without having to be broken up. No signs of actual aggression from male cat. He is playful again without hurting the young female. I am so relieved that my little cat isn’t getting bullied anymore and that it happened somewhat quickly. Although I can’t say the collar alone would have helped, I am a believer and I will continue to dress my male cat in this collar so long as he is a whackadoodle. But I will also remember to respect his territorial needs. Long story short, do NOT skip the basics like proper introductions, adequate litter box territory, vertical spaces to climb, playtime, ruling out health issues etc. and expect this to work. I can see now that the stress of adjusting to new territory as well as only having 1 litter box posed a problem. I also just can’t help but wonder if the collar was still releasing pheromones after 1 month, because of the increase in aggression I believe that happened in the week my male cat had the old collar off. Anyway, I am happy to be on the other side of the problem! ... show more

  • product is as described and works ?
Size: 4 Pack
Although it's little challenging to measure or quantify, we think these have some calming effect on our 2 cats. However, I'm about ready to start testing competitors' products because Comfort Zone collars come off frequently enough to be annoying-- and also they've been raising their price. In late 2022 a 4pack was 40$ but then in 2023 it was 35. Then 38, now 40 again. ... show more

  • Does what it says.
Size: Single Pack
My cat has never been fond of collars so I wasn’t sure how this would go. I got it on her and she fidgeted for a short time then forgot it was on. She has spurts in the late afternoon where she gets the zoomies and claws at furniture. The calming collar did what it says- calmed her down. I would say she’s about 75% calmer during the late afternoon. Seems to be comfortable as she hasn’t messed with it. ... show more
