Bought this for a relative as a gift. She has some chronic back problems related to disc issues. When I gave it to her I asked her to use it at least 3 times a day and then let me know in a week or so how it helped or didn't help her condition. Her answer? She said "It's a God send!" She loves it. Will never be without one now. The heat and massage allow her pain to gradually decrease during the day with regular use. The 2nd benefit is, the thing relaxes all the muscles and tissues in her back that normally tense up with pain. That whole pain-tense-up thing then more pain is a feedback loop that leads to more pain and more tensing up etc. It is a vicious cycle. By interrupting that cycle she feels better over all and is in a better mood. The new cycle then becomes feels better + more relaxed = more pain free or at least as much pain free as is possible with heat and massage. She ain't cured by any means but she feels a hell of a lot better now. Good product. Would buy again.

The Comfier cushion has a luxurious feel in the black velvet. I bought the car converter, and it fits the seat of my Prius station wagon with the help of straps at the top and in the crease between the back and seat. THe non-slip covering on the back will help keep it in place. I installed and tested it out today as I just received it yesterday. I have not used it for pain so am leaving that category unrated. All of the massage choices available work. To use heat only, I turned on the power and then turned all the massage areas off and left the heat on. I'm not positive about this, but the heat alone seems to be more centrally located on the cushion rather than going out to the sides. My former heat/massage cushion had vibrating elements that I could feel in the seat as hard lumps when not being used. That is not the case with this thicker cushion: it's very comfortable just to have it there. I like the inch or so of increased height that it gives the car seat. I got this cushion especially for heat in the Maine winter (-22F a few times last year) and an occasional massage during a longer drive will also be welcome. I would probably not drive with a high intensity massage happening, the medium or low level would be enough. The package came with an offer to email Comfier and lengthen the warranty period. Upon doing that, a further offer was extended, to receive an Amazon gift card in return for an approved review. For the purpose of full disclosure, I'm writing this review with my honest opinions, whether or not the card materializes. I write other Amazon reviews: some are very critical. This seems like a good product. There are cheaper cushions available but I chose this one for its features. I was concerned about draining the car battery, so I bought a cigarette lighter splitter that has an on/off switch for each appliance that uses the lighter connection. This enables the cushion to remain plugged in and completely turned off. Update 9/30: I'm adding to this review to describe what happened regarding the gift card. After submitting the original review to Amazon I contacted the company to ask what the next step would be. There was not any next step: they responded with the code for the gift card immediately. That happened BEFORE my review was published by Amazon, so this actually seems to be a payment for an honest review ahead of reading it. I never did this before - it's encouraging!

I like that you can choose heat or vibrate or both. I wish you could aim the heat for the different areas you can choose on the remote and not just the whole back or seat options. I have arthritis just below the right shoulder blade and this really HELPS. I would have gave it five stars but I am 5'3" so the neck ones are way too high to reach me there.

It works as stated. both the vibrating and heat are good. The only problem I have is that it is a little to high for my chairs and me. I am 5 ft 5 inches so short and this intended for someone 4-6 inches taller but I can use it just not as well.

I needed a seat warmer for my new car as I get back pain while in the car. I came across this massaging seat cushion with heat and just HAD to try it!! WORTH EVERY PENNY!! I bought the 12 volt car adapter separately, which allows me to get power in the car. The unit comes with a wall adapter so if you're planning on using it in your car like me, you'll also need to purchase a separate car adapter. My first test try was on the couch as I was waiting for the car adapter to arrive . Nice amount of pressure. Heats quickly. Not too rough and has different intensity levels and massage techniques. The heat didn't burn the couch underneath it. I felt safe using it. Just tried it out in the car (previously used it in the house while I was waiting for the car adapter to arrive) and IT WAS AMAZING!! Comfy and heats up quickly! I was worried that the car adapter (same provider) might not put enough power out to work the massage cushion but it was fine! Heated up quickly and I felt nice and relaxed in the car. The cushion is soft material and feels good to the touch. I would HIGHLY recommend this product and am looking to purchase another for my passenger seat now that I have had a chance to experience it.

I have not had it long but, so far it is wonderful. The heat is a great relief for a sore hip. The rolling mas sage is very stress relieving also. I do wish the top tie-strap was longer does not fit over the top of my recliner. I will probably add to it with Velcro and a piece of similar material. If it has the durability that is states to have it is a terrific value too!
