'm honestly a little on the fence with this one. I picked up this come-along because I have a few stumps I want to pull, and the advertised 4,400 lb pulling capacity caught my attention. On paper, the specifications sound pretty impressive for a compact manual puller. In person, though, my first impression isn't quite as convincing. The overall construction looks and feels very inexpensive, and honestly, it has a somewhat toy-like feel to it. That's not necessarily a deal breaker for a tool like this, but when you're talking about a device that's supposed to pull thousands of pounds, I'd prefer to have a little more confidence in the build quality before putting serious tension on it. The steel cable, hooks, gears, and ratcheting mechanism appear functional, and I like that the hooks have safety latches. The dual-gear design is also an interesting feature, but I haven't put enough load on it yet to determine how well everything actually performs under stress. And that's really the important part—I haven't tested it yet. I'm planning to put this thing to work pulling a few stumps around the property. That should give me a much better indication of whether my initial impression is justified or whether this little puller is going to surprise me. For now, I'm giving it four stars based on the initial quality and feel, with the understanding that the real review is still coming. Pros: Compact manual pulling tool Advertised 4,400 lb capacity Dual-gear ratcheting design Two hooks with safety latches Steel cable Relatively easy to handle and transport Cons: Feels lighter and cheaper than expected Overall construction gives a somewhat toy-like first impression Haven't verified the advertised pulling capacity Cable length is fairly short for some jobs Bottom line: I'm not completely convinced yet. The specifications look good on paper, but the actual tool feels less substantial than I expected. I'm not going to make a final judgment until I put it through a real-world test. I've got a few stumps waiting for it, so this little guy is about to earn its keep. If it handles the job well, I'll gladly come back and update my review. If it doesn't, well... we'll know exactly what we bought.

This manual come along puller is perfect for light to medium household jobs. It costs far less than comparable alternatives. I fixed my wire fence with it, and effortlessly winched a broken-down motorcycle onto my trailer. Such a handy tool!
